I was excited about these cuz my other needle threader was too large to fit through my very fine needles. So I got these and was thrilled that it worked but the wire came completely out of the head after my third use.

These are as necessary to me as a pencil or a pen! I wear glasses. I keep thread in every room in the house ! you never know when you have to stitch something quick like a hem or a tiny hole in your shirt. Singer brand is always reliable.

SINGER 00058 Metal Needle Threaders, hoping for a reliable solution to ease the tedious task of threading needles. Unfortunately, my experience with these threaders has been nothing short of frustrating, leading me to give them a one-star rating.To begin with, the build quality of these threaders is subpar. Upon receiving the package, I noticed that the metal used felt flimsy and lacked durability. With just a few uses, the threaders started to bend and lose their shape, rendering them ineffective for the task they were designed for. It is disappointing to see such a lack of quality in a product from a reputable brand like SINGER.Moreover, the functionality of these threaders is severely lacking. Despite the package claiming that they are designed to make needle threading easier, I found them to be more of a hindrance than a help. The thin wire loop intended to guide the thread through the eye of the needle was too short and often failed to catch the thread. This made the process of threading needles even more time-consuming and frustrating, defeating the purpose of using a needle threader in the first place.Another issue I encountered was the inconsistency among the threaders in the pack. The sizes of the wire loops varied, and some were so small that they were practically unusable for threading standard-sized needles. This lack of consistency further adds to the overall disappointment and inconvenience of using these threaders.Considering the price I paid for this pack of threaders, I expected a much higher level of quality and effectiveness. Unfortunately, the SINGER 00058 Metal Needle Threaders failed to meet even the most basic requirements of a needle threader. I cannot recommend this product to anyone in need of a reliable and functional solution for threading needles. Save yourself the frustration and invest in a more reliable alternative.In conclusion, the SINGER 00058 Metal Needle Threaders proved to be a disappointment in terms of build quality, functionality, and overall effectiveness. They are flimsy, prone to bending, and fail to adequately guide the thread through the needle's eye. Considering their lack of reliability and the price paid, I strongly advise seeking alternative needle threaders that offer better quality and performance.

I tried to use these to thread a needle that had a very small hole. It wouldn't slide into the hole and when I tried hard to push it in, it broke. It works great for needles with ample size holes.

What can I say, threading needles never used to be a problem-then I wake up one day and discover I can barely see the eye of the needle. After fussing around trying to thread a needle, muttering about eyes that suddenly quit working as they used to, and puzzling if my sewing was now dependent on when younger eyes came by the house, I saw this solution. Yea! They work exactly as advertised, quickly and with ease.
