I used this to replace a string on my gray hoodie. It was easy to thread through with the help of a bent coat hanger and a little electric tape. Unlike traditional cotton strings, this has a lot of stretch to it. It's fine since I don't expect to pull on it very often. but if you want the beads to stay on, you'll need to knot the string around the beads.

This drawstring makes a great impression in the pictures but fails to impress in real life.It is fairly thin, with some stretch. 51” is enough for the hood portion of a hoodie or the waist of a child or a thin person given that you still need some length for the tie, loops and some ends. Overall, a bit too short. My first impression of the material was that it is a synthetic fiber though the online description says otherwise.I selected this drawstring because of the metal ends, though these too are less impressive than the photos. In real life this is like one long shoelace of a “man-made upper” men’s shoe. Not really a good value.

This is a good, basic drawstring.It's more than long enough, but not excessively long.It has nice metal ends (aglets) for easy threading.It's lightweight and stretchy.This one has a flat surface (as opposed to a round drawstring). The flatness is good for not adding bulk to the waist of my pants.I'm happy to replace my old worn out drawstring with this one.

The drawstring on my gym pants was worn and I was looking for an inexpensive replacement. Made of cotton, it was easy to tread through the pants. Washes well with no shrinkage in the dryer.
