ExcellentThe product arrived early. Easy to assemble, looks great. Nice funnel for adding dry sand included. Instructions are easy to follow through YouTube. Took less than 15 minutes to assemble. Our post was hit by a snow plow for the third time. This was the answer. If hit again it will probably just be knocked over -- not broken off. The unit looks very nice and sturdy. I waited to place the actual box until the sand was in case I had to turn the unit around for some reason (not required).

Snowplow knocked my original mail post down. Needed a winter solution ( no digging) to mailbox near driveway, this was it. Fairly easy to assemble for an old man with two arthritic hands and no help. Looks good and mail delivery is back on track. May not have to dog hole in the spring.

The pictorial directions were so clear there was absolutely no problem assembling the mailbox. Everything went together easily and produced an attractive and very sturdy freestanding mailbox.

Here are my before and after picks. I love this mailbox! It was very easy to install. I didn't use 100lbs of sand because the base and the post filled up pretty quick. I used about 75lbs. The sand I used was recommended for use as a weight and it was pretty heavy. Based on some of the reviews, I did bury the base. As you can see in the photos, I repurposed some stones I had and I think it looks great! I've already received compliments from my neighbors. This is a good quality mailbox. Well worth the money. I also love that I can get my mail from the sidewalk too. The size is great and now I don't have to worry about water leaking into the mailbox and getting my mail all wet.

This is a great mailbox! Assembly was simple, pouring sand was a little messy but not too challenging. There is a funnel provided which is helpful. We did use 100 pounds of sand between the two halves of the base and the pole. It doesn’t feel like it’s going anywhere however, although I don’t feel it is a necessity, we are adding rocks to the base as seen in other review photos just for added security and curb appeal. We needed this because our mail slot went directly into our home which would normally be ok except the slot was under my desk and it started to feel intrusive. The mail carrier used our new mailbox yesterday and we are all pleased as punch! Highly recommend!

More specifically a direct hit from a tree during Hurricane Helene. Both doors were knocked off and the sides of the mailbox had a few gashes but with a little effort both doors were put back on and a little tape covered the gashes. Gashes that didn’t make it to the inner part of the mailbox. The post needed to be tightened back to the base but other than a few cosmetic issues it still works great.Putting this together was somewhat time consuming but only because the sand I was using was just damp enough to clog the spout. This was so much easier than digging a hole for a mailbox. That was the longest part of the process.Things I like about the mailbox are the setup, the interior size, and the back door. The only problem I could see someone having is if they needed to move it in the future.

I like how easy it was to put together and the fact that no digging is required! It looks nice on the curb and keeps the mail dry in inclement weather so I highly recommend this mail box. That price is unbeatable.

We wanted to move our mailbox to the other side of our driveway for convenience. But the thought of digging a hole for the post and installing that was groan-inducing. I decided to research alternatives and came across this. We read about every review and decided to give it a try.The process of putting it together was easy. You don't need any special skills or know-how, just the ability to follow directions. Everything fit together nice and snug, all holes lined up and nothing was miss-aligned. Filling it with sand is definitely easier with two people, I wouldn't even attempt it solo unless you have no other choice. The funnel it comes work works just fine, just use a scoop or cup or something to pour your sand into it. As other reviewers stress, use sand that is 100% dry. I can't imagine using even slightly damp sand, how annoying it would be. We actually used finely crushed glass that we got from a local winery (they crush it because it can't be recycled, and we got it for free). It does make a mess to fill it, so be sure to do it outside where you don't mind sand and dust all over. There's really no cleaner way to do it, it will make a bit of a mess when filling. We carried the base out to the street first, then the post and assembled it there. Again, two people makes that easier. We put ours on the ground by first removing the grass, leveling it out, putting some crushed glass down (or sand works), then simple pavers. This brought it up in height enough to be compliant. Be very careful about that, and make sure you check into the height regulations and how high yours will be once you have it where you want it, and measure from the street up to the mailbox itself.I really like the rear opening door, that is fantastic since we live on a busy road. Size of the mailbox itself is fine for average house-hold needs. The magnetic doors open and close great. I'm not a huge fan of the red flag being on the front because I can't see it from my house to know if the mail has been taken or not, but the flag itself functions fine. If you have it pulled out, you can be confident it won't close on its own by wind or something. Even though this is plastic, I do not think it looks tacky or cheap. It looks great, plus no maintenance or worry about a wooden post rotting out.The real test will be in the winter when the state plows fly by our house and sling the heavy, gravel-laden snow. I will update my review at that time once we see how the mailbox performs. But as it is now, I feel it'll be good. If we get wind strong enough to move it or knock it down, then we have more to worry about than just the mailbox!
