I replaced the strap on the Resmed AirFit P30i with this, and it's made a world of difference. The strap now sits almost under the base of your skull, so it's less prone to be tugged when you turn or move at night. As a result, there are a lot less leaks from my mask, my nose doesn't feel as sore in the morning, and my sleep is less disrupted. I wish Resmed would change their AirFit masks to be similar to Philips.

Finally! One that stays put and doesn’t ride up the back of my head all night! After 3 years of using a CPAP, this is the first back strap that is comfortable and stays put. I’m thrilled to finally find this style. Much improved over the previous generation.

I used the regular basic strap for a long while, it was always a hassel with my hair , sliding around and making me wake up and re-adjust strap from sliding all the time! I decided to try this style and I was extremely suprised! I no long get woke up , It stays in place and fits more natural. My hair no longer gets tangled /pulled , the slippage is very minimal. If you are having issue and have not tried this style I would encourage you to try this one !

I like this new design Respironics headband much better than the old style, it seems to keep the headgear in place better also.

It sits slightly lower on the back of the head, making the CPAP headgear more that it doesn't slip off during the night. Easy to assemble and worth the money!

Simple device I can see how some might not like this strap but it seems to be pretty secure for my use.

I always find on any mask that the velcro and knit band around the back of my head slides up. The plastic arms on this keep the band lower where it stays in place better. Although it was meant for A DREAMWEAR NASAL FIT mask, I find that it also works on a SWIFT FX and the AIRFIT N30i. The plastic arms fit in the slot that was made to hold the original knit head strap. Hope all the companies see fit to add this to their masks.

Update: 2/19/24:I am still using this actual product and it's still going strong. I do wash it in the morning on occasion, and it is dry by bedtime. I also put it in the SoClean Ozone Cleaner a few times a week - highly recommend that product if you have the space, but I digress.Just came back on here to say that it is rare that a product lasts this long nowadays, but this one has.-------------------------------I am a new CPAP/APAP user and after much research, settled on the Dreamwear line because it is so inobtrusive. I had tried several masks, one being Wisp, and felt that I was suffocating. While it fits my husband well, my lips are full and get in the way of the nose piece. Also, I felt a bit like an elephant. :DThe Dreamware mask has been fantastic. You can wear it with glasses, should you need to have a quick look at the clock or what have you. It slips right on and the hose is at the top, so you don’t see it, don't feel like an elephant and doesn’t get in the way. The only issue was that the mask was coming loose while I slept due to the headgear strap slipping up and forward. It would slip slide over my hair and fall off, waking me. This item (number 1116751. DreamWear Headgear with Arms) simply solves that problem. No more slipping. I have been tracking the numbers on the DreamStation and it is 100%, consistently. The headgear fits the cushion, which I use; the pillows, AND the full face mask, and the strap fits the back of the headgear no matter which you use. Some had said the clips grab hair as they clip it on... I'd advise to either put the hair up and out of the way, or use the velcro portion to adjust. This isn't a problem for me, as I put my hair on top of my head and then put the headgear in place and move the piece that goes in the back underneath my hair. This should be the headgear strap for Philips Respironics DreamWare, IMO. Very happy.
