It is actually an aluminum metal piece rather than cheap plastic kind. The number and lines are like laser engraved clear. You have to screw this to the wall with a measurement for the right height initially but after that it is rock solid. The top bar moves up and down smoothly. I placed this in my church Sunday school hall way so many kids can have fun. They love it.
