This was purchased to be used in our gym for all of our members. It has a good max weight capacity. Simple to use as you just step on and read the monitor that we mounted on the wall. Really well built.

I didn't like that the knob for tilting the display on the left side was cranked so tight I couldn't move it. Another thing I didn't like was the they had run the wires from the display to the scale going over the metal holder. I'm smart enough to know that running it over the sharp metal will ultimately result in a short. I simply unscrewed the device from the holder completely on the right side and slid the wire out so it would run down to the scale correctly. The scale is a larger version of my battery operated kitchen food scale. I love the tare feature. Normally, when my husband is trying to weigh our large Boxer, it is very difficult because of her size. With this we simply weight him first and set the tare. Then weigh again holding the dog and we know exactly how much she weighs. Since the display is up high, it's not awkward to view. I can understand not providing the optional batteries, however, thought not providing the simple screws and anchors to hang it was being cheap. Simple solution - Alien Tape

This scale is definitely worth the money. It has a large platform which allows you to stand still and you can use the moveable weight indicator to bring it to eye level, so you don't have to try to look down. It's great for weighing luggage or shipping boxes as well.

Well, this arrived in a timely manner, well packaged as one would expect for an electronic instrument. Having learned from past experience, I know that an electronic scales will not work properly on a linoleum floor. My first stop was the local hardware store where they custom cut me a 3/4" piece of plywood, 16"x14", which gets all four of the scales's feet well upon the board, you do not want any of the four feet near the edge. Now I had a solid, flat surface for the scales.Rather than waste batteries (and risk error as they weaken?) I elected to use the included wall adapter, I would like for it to have been a bit longer, I had to use an extension cord to help supply the juice. I mounted the readout at a level where the coiled cord would stretch out and appear less unsightly, using screws and drywall anchors, no mounting hardware was included. The scales works perfectly and is repeatable typically to within .1 lb, time after time. And that's what I want in a scales, others I've used vary somewhat each time you step on or off, this one stays the same. Of course your actual weight will change somewhat during a 24-hour period, which is why it's best to weigh at the same time each day, typically first thing every morning following bathroom functions.But. . . that instruction manual. Grrr. Even applying my "senior discount" when it comes to easy comprehension, these instructions difficult. Einstein would be befuddled. There are five paragraphs under "function settings," here's how one of them reads:5. Press [HOLD] key again to enter the next menu, the display will show LoCK.r press [MODE] then press [TARE] key to select animal scale anti-shock range among 10.30.50.oFF. Press HOLD key to confirm.Got that? Nowhere do the instructions say what an "animal scale anti-shock range" is, and all of the function settings contain other such bewildering advice. This scales, at least in my configuration, shuts off completely after a few minutes. When you want a measurement, the off/on button on the far right on the readout is pressed, and the scales counts down quickly from 9.99 to 0.00 and then displays a 0, which I assume is a zeroing procedure. Not a word of this is mentioned in the meager instruction manual. So overall, I would definitely recommend this scales, it's among the best, and I've been through several in my lifetime. It is exactly accurate, always repeatable, and doesn't take up much space in the bathroom, or wherever you mount it. Pro tip: Don't toss that instruction booklet, as bad as it is, you may need to decipher it some day.

I am a home dialysis patient and the weight before and after dialysis is very important. I try using those $30 scale and the reading just may be off by a .25 lb. I needed a scale that have an accuracy of .1 lb and this scale is that accurate. The other reason is have a larger platform to stand on makes it easier to weight myself. The best part having the displace mounted a eye level meaning I don't have to bend down to do a reading.

I received my product scale, and wasn't sure about the quality because it was half the price of similar detached screen scales. I have low vision and this is the only way I can see it..The display itself only has 4 buttons and is all very easy to use. The back light that comes on when you step on it, makes this perfect to see in low light. I also was very happy to see that I could use four AA batteries or the power cord that comes with it. I mounted this easily with 3M double-sided tape. I liked that it swivels up and down to let you get the optimal viewing angle. The base is very large compared to other scales. I included a picture of the base with my shoe next to it to give you an idea. I was very happy about the stability as well. The base has a handle on the top which is handy if you take the unit with you to multiple places. For most of us though, I would think mount it, plug it in, and be done with it.All in all I think this is an excellent scale for home. It could also double as a package scale due to its large base. The only drawback I can see to this is that the base is a fingerprint magnet. I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to everybody

I wondered about this scale before I bought it. I wasn't sure how the indicator, at the end of a wire, would work out. It hasn't been a problem. I taped it to a windowsill with two sided tape and it works well. It can be attached with screws. The indicator has a lighted dial that is easy to read, and your weight registers fast.
