About this item

  • Single pole, 20 Amp, type QPF2 GFCI Circuit Breaker
  • 10,000 AIC interrupting rating
  • Includes self-test as required by UL 943 as an added safety feature
  • Suitable for a variety of construction applications including spas, hot tubs, kitchens, bathrooms, etc.
  • Provides class A GFCI protection

Testing GFCIs and afcis on a monthly basis is a good idea that is sometimes forgotten. Underwriters laboratories (UL) suggests that afci/GFCI Devices be tested every 30 days after installation to ensure they are properly working. Now the new self test & lockout feature enables the dual function circuit breaker to automatically and continuously test itself to ensure that it is working properly. If it is detected that the device has been compromised, the device trips itself and locks out the homeowner from resetting the device, reducing the possibility of the homeowner incorrectly assuming that the device was tripped to prevent a ground/arc fault. This effortless system guarantees that only the best protection is given to your home at all times.

I had to juggle some nonsense around my home, and figured it would just be easier if I replaced my breakers with all GFCI's.These installed easily, came with good enough instructions and on sale are worth the money.Happy with my result.

Good quality GFCI. I found it easier to order and receive this from AZ as opposed to chasing it down around town.

I tried testing all my circuits before realizing that it had to be the gfci breaker that was worn out. I had not realized they did that after about 20 years. Mine lasted 30 years, so i guess it did well. Anyway, this fixed my problem immediately. Just for others' information, apparently these are supposed to be trip-tested roughly every month. I had not realized that either. Anyway, these work great and fully recommended.PS i had thought these were rather expensive until i cut mine apart to see what it contained. This contains a highly complex electronic arrangement of components. Having seen that, i can't really complain about the price.

There seems to be a lot these things but I replaced a similar 20 year old Siemens unit with this one. They have slightly changed over the years (the new one has leds and a "pig tail" neutral) and after many youtube videos, I ordered and the replacement was done. It works and the breaker does not repeatedly trip any more. You need to be careful the you order the right unit that will fit your panel. These are NOT one-size-fits-all products. I hope it holds up for 20 years. These things do seem to wear out with time due to the GFI circuitry. I'm perplexed by the negative reviews but maybe they were not careful in ordering. It works. The price was good. I'm a happy camper.

My circuit breaker main panel uses these and similar for the entire house. It's only 4 yesterday old, same with the garage door opener. Last week, the one for my garage door (it's one plug in the house) kept tripping when the temp would go over 100° F, after the 3rd reset in a row, I ran an extension cord to the door opener; guess what, it didn't trip that breaker for a week of days over 100°. Going to my local hardware stores, yes multiple stores, I was unable to find the Siemens QPF version and the salespeople were useless having no idea what I needed and not having this in stock. Not wanting to go with another brand like Murry or GE and risk it not fitting or worse, I decided to order this. It's the correct type per the instructions on the door of the breaker box, and fit perfectly. Just flipped the switch to off, checked to make sure there was no power, unscrewed the screws holding the two main wires, and the ground screw holding the long white wire that is part of this, then pulled the breaker out. New one fit in, cut the ground wire to length, connected it first, then put in the white and black wire and tightened them down. Flipped the breaker on, and plugged in the garage door opener. Has been two weeks without any issues. Plus this one is a lot less, around $20 less, than in the local stores.
