The dual-function circuit breaker combines class A 5mA GFCI and combination type AFCI, protecting against both arc faults and ground faults. This, along with the new self-test feature, makes it the first in class in electrical safety for homeowners. This Dual Function circuit breaker is the same, reliable design, without the pigtail, specifically designed for the Plug-On Neutral Load Centers.

Amazon price is at least 1/3 lower than HD or my normal Siemens vendors. I really hope they start relaxing the AFCI requirements soon. Nuanced tripping on older circuits is killing us.

These are the recent (I've gotten breakers manufactured late 22 and early 23) versions of the plug on neutral breaker from Siemens. They work fine (I tested them with the Klein arc tester) and don't trip with drills and even old vacuum cleaners. What threw me is that they came loosely packaged in a plain paper bag. A call to Siemens confirmed they are genuine breakers.I finally realized, from looking at eBay listings, what the sellers are doing is buying the breakers in bulk, say a box of 100 breakers, then selling them individually. As long as they are storing the breakers responsibly (not in extreme heat or moisture conditions) this is fine.

Installed in a new sub-panel for my basement, so I'm very happy for the dual function and plug-on-neutral! The combination saves a lot of work. I've had a false trigger on the 15A breaker. I say false because there was no fault indication, it's happened once and there was no activity on that circuit at the time. Hopefully, that was just a fluke to deflate me after triumphantly completing my project.

These are good breakers, easy to install and work as expected. Siemens support was a disappointment as they couldnt tell me which model was supported by my Murray panel (Siemens now owns Murray brand), I had to contact local electrical supply house to finally get the model# I could use in my panel. They are pricey but since they will last for many many years I guess you can just call it the cost of owning a home and having the comfort knowing that you and your family will be protected. Dont rely on Siemens for support, they cant be bothered to help a homeowner, talk to your local supply house for advice.
