Yeah, these are a bit pricey when compared to the infinite possibilities on Amazon, but I think they are definitely worth it! The come pre-charged, in my case to last all night. They seems to charge quite well in the light...even on overcast and snowy days. The light is vibrant but not overly bright, and the options are fun...especially the option for the 2 different "whites"...though I'm not sure we'll ever use the strobe or the hard changing options.As for durability, they survived a very unfortunate accidental drop test/kick. The drop was only about 3 or 4...the attempted save that turned into a kick added a much higher degree of difficulty to the impromptu test. Small scuff to an edge that you would never notice without specifically looking for it was the end result.The plastic "stakes" seems pretty solid...don't think they'd break very easy...not like the normal pole style that stick in the ground. That said, the lights just press fit onto the stakes...not bad...very firm connection...the lights won't go anywhere...however, I don't think you'll be getting the stakes out of the ground easily, maybe not without a shovel, if you push them to flush with the ground. The set also has screws to mount on fence posts, fence sides, or decking.The do have light sensor to turn off during daylight, which works very well. And, if you want it off-off, it does have a hard switch to make your stargazing nights all the more crisp.

Really impressive! I tested these out by putting them on my deck in the late afternoon on a cloudy day. They came on just fine and to my amazement, they were still on the following morning. I brought them inside and they kept going for another 12 hours before I manually turned them off. That's an impressive accomplishment!They are very easy to use and support multiple colors and patterns. It's easy to change the color/pattern with the touch of a button on top.The only thing I didn't like is that there's no way to replace the batteries which means once the internal (and amazing) batteries go out, you have to throw them away. Otherwise, these are fantastic!
