The bracket is exactly what it is advertised to be. Fits snug on a a 2-3/8 OD post. So if you wanna use a chain link corner post for your mailbox post, this is perfect. Unfortunately, it’s the only one on the market, so Shur-Tite feels it’s appropriate to gouge your eyes out on the price. What should be $19.99 or less is a whopping fifty bucks. I suppose that would at least make you think for that price at least I’ll get good service or quick shipping….wrong.Seller marked the item shipped almost immediately and didn’t put it in the mail for another ten or so days. No response to Amazon messages. Had to contact directly deal with someone who should not be in contact with customers.Do yourself a favor and go a different route in choosing your post because you’re just not gonna be happy dealing with this seller.Otherwise, if u need a 2-3/8 post is what you’re using, this will do just fine.

My metal pole was about 1/4 inch smaller than the intended size to be used with this bracket. I need to be careful tightening it so as not to crack it. I added expanding foam to help snug it up. Anyway, it's very snug and I'm very happy with it.

We have used this mount to attach out steel mailbox to our neighborhood's mailbox stands at the main road and it's been working great thus far. The molded plastic is nice and thick and feels like it could last as long as the mailbox, or longer. Installation was also a breeze, offering multiple mounting options for a variety of mail box styles. If you're looking for a mount of this type, you really can't go wrong here.

Mostly thisb worked. Had to modify and make jokes on opposite of side to attach to mailbox pole, also mailbox pole is much smaller than this and had to figure out a way to stop movement
