I like how it telescopes open - both ends telescope out when extending. Relatively light in weight (though not as light as a simple wooden pole). The foam grip is nice.Seems well made - my handyman friend bought a 2nd one as backup, but his original heavily used one is still works / functions well, though a little worn (extensions have a little play / looser than a brand new one). But the extension locks still work fine.

This paint stick made the job of painting the room very easy. You can easily adjust the length, and it stays put where you set it. The grip makes it easy to hold onto. I had used one of these a few years ago when I helped a friend paint. When it came time to paint a room at my own house, I first tried a stick I purchased at a local store. I was very disappointed with it. So then I looked online to try to find the type my friend had, and fortunately was able to find this. It saved the day! It made the job go much quicker. I highly recommend it.

I bought a second one after using this for a few paint jobs. What makes this a 5-star is the ease of extending/retracting combined with the sturdiness. Yes, any extending pole will not be quite as sturdy as a solid pole, however, it is sturdy enough and it retracts to a storable length. I have no issue recommending this. Note - I have only used the 29-61 inch length.

This pole is light and easy to use. The best thing about it is the way it extends. Just press the button and pull. It extends from both ends at the same time. I didn't buy this to paint with, but to use with a cleaning mop/brush head for the front of my RV. The ease of extending the pole makes it perfect for my application.

I wanted an extension pole to take a mop head/squeegee for cleaning the ground floor, outside windows. This product fits the bill admirably. It is not the cheapest on the market but the strength and build quality is superb and it has a universal threaded head and can also be used with paint rollers. It is also very easy to extend and retract due to its ingenious internal mechanism.

The idea is good, the price was good but the product is not good. Broke after 1 day. Spend a little more and get a better product. If you do get this don't screw on attachment while holding below the extension button. If you do, pole will spin inside handle once you begin to tighten and the spring inside will break. At least that's what I'm guessing happened. There's no way to open it and look. I now have a 4 foot pole. I like shurline products and thought I'd give it a shot but should have known better.

This is a great design for a common item....painter's poles are found in every hardware store, but the action of this one is unique. I bought this to use for holding a GoPro camera and gimbal and the fact that it is quick to extend and retract give me a very secure and versatile photo tool. That being said...BE AWARE that even though many of these Painter's Poles are advertised as having "Universal Threads" that is far from the case in the 'real world'. I have several other makes of painter's poles along with 5 or 6 screw on attachment pieces and they are NOT all interchangeable...!! The thread pitch looks the same...the thread count is the same, but SOME top sections...(roller, brush, photo adapter, etc.) will fit on one pole...or several of them, but NOT all of the ones I have. Just a 'word to the wise' about this...based on LOTS of trial and error over the years. In the case of this Shur-Line pole, I have only 2 'things' that will correctly attach to the threaded top..."Try before you buy"...

Purchased for attachment to swim lap cards (and adapter) for distance races. Perfect weight, adjustable length for dunking lap cards under water, and cushioned handle. Key components which makes this handle superior to others (aside from the nifty dual extension press) for attachment to anything heavy: 1) the male screw end that screws into something heavy like lap cards is made of solid metal that will not break off; 2) the locking mechanism fixes the desired length and prevents buckling, even when dragged in and out of water. Totally worth it and a good investment for decades of swimming.
