My son ruptured his Achilles. It was easy to assemble and to adjust the seat height. It fits perfect in a standard tub and sturdy.

I have other shower chairs that were far less involved in assembling. This chair has far too many parts involved in the case that an elderly person or disabled person needs to assemble the chair on their own. This is not the easiest shower chair to assemble. It's not that it's difficult when you have the full use of both hands, but if you don't... That's the reason for only a three-star rating.With that said, the chair is more comfortable than the other shower chairs that I own. The blue padding makes a world of difference in comfort level. This chair has a smaller footprint, so it sits in my bathtub better than the other chairs I have. This results in my feeling more secure with this chair.I'm 5' 2 1/2". My chair is in the lowest height setting. The height was easy to adjust. Just a little stiff since it's new.
