Installation instructions:
1、For horizontal sliding windows, you can tape the window lock safety strip directly to the window frame, which will prevent the window from being opened; if you have a taller window, you can tape another window lock safety strip to the top of the window frame, which will balance the top and bottom.
2、For vertical windows, you can tape the end of the window stopper that has a protruding part, and then let the window lock safety bar stick to the top edge position of the window frame; to prevent the window stopper from falling, it is recommended that you tape the back of the window lock safety bar as well, and then stick the window lock safety bar to the window frame on one side of the window. If you have a long window, you can tape the window lock safety strip to both sides of the window frame for left-right balance.
Note:Please measured your window track or door track before purchasing! The window blocker security is 1 inch wide so that make sure your window or door track must be at least 1 inch wide.

I bought these for our front slider windows. Yes, I could have used wood dowels but I wanted something really visible and metal to deter people from attempting to open the windows (if they even wanted to try). The only thing I didn’t like was when I adjusted it the metal scraped part of it and left a big scratch. Otherwise, I think it’s pretty cool.

I see why this is made more for side sliding windows. I thought this would work for my up/down sliding windows and I could use it to keep my window partially open, but it does not work that way. I do think it works great for keeping the window completely closed and the only way someone could get it open would be breaking the glass. When used correctly it’s a really nice security feature.

No instructions, just a plain box that was water logged thanks to the delivery driver. Wouldn’t have worked anyway but was hard to use the adjustment button.

This is a really sturdy metal security bar and the square shape was perfect for my window track. Unfortunately Didn’t quite fit my window as it was off by 1/4 inch. Wish it had something at the end to fine tune the fit down to 1/4 inch. That’s the only reason I gave 4 star and not 5. Seems like it would work very well if it had fit

This Adjustable Window Lock Bar allowed me to have peace of mind while I was away from home and at night. I used to put my air conditioner in the window on the first floor in the daytime and I took it out every night, and this was annoying and backbreaking for me. Once the air conditioner is placed in the window, the bar is very easy to set up but depending on your window, you may need to place something underneath the bar to fill the gap, this is due to the adjustable notches in the bar and your window may not line up to fit correctly. This is an easy fix with anything in your house, just be creative. I love it.

It was not adjustable to my needs but was able to use some shims to make sure it was tight.
