One was falling apart in the pack of 2. The other one failed not long after. The material it's made out of will easily fray apart and the seams that were sewn did not protect against that. This material requires a special seams to keep it all together, instead plain seams were sewn into it.

Bought used 10 gal ShopVac, did not have the foam filter, only the paper. Ordered the kit with both foam and paper filters. Fit very well, paper is washable and reusable as is the foam. Fit both the 2 gal and 10 gal ShopVac units.

I used this cloth as a pre-filter over the regular paper filers. The goal was to keep the "paper" vacuum filter cleaner. It appears to do the job.

I bought an unbranded 5 gallon wet/dry vac that is as good as any name brand I have had. The only problem is, I need to replace the filter and cannot find ANY information on where to get one that will stay on the machine. I saw these and figured it was worth a try. As long as there is a foam filter under it, and I check it frequently to make sure it is in place, this has been great! It filters as well as the fiber ones. I do have to clean it more often, since it doesn't have the ribs to hold more dust, but that's no big deal. It's just a matter of shaking it off and it's good to go. It was a great option, especially since I was not going to be able to use the vac at all without it.

Top elastic band a little tight for my vacuum pleated filter but got it on ok. Other areas of fit were great. Noticed just a slight decrease in suction but I believe that will lessen after a few hours of running and a couple of cleanings. Will buy again.

I have used these before for a previous shop vac and loved it. These are a slick smooth and slippery polyester fabric that cleans easily…the dust slips right off. Upon dumping the dirt out of the bin of the shop vac…I can use a whisk broom to sweep the dirt off this filter easily while it is still in place…or use my leaf blower to blow the dust off (I do either of these outside of course). The filter has a nice rubbery elastic at the top to help hold it in place. Only complaint is that it is single ply which clogs more easily than multi ply vacuum cleaner bags but shop vac only makes single ply disposable bags so this avoids having to buy bags at all and is easier to clean than the blue fabric filter you have to fold over the cage that came with the vac… this just slips on as it is shaped like a round cylinder and has a round bottom and round top opening. Price is very reasonable for a quality reusable product. It is washable in the washing machine or soaked in a sink with laundry detergent, but not regularly necessary.

Although kind of expensive for what they are, these are decent cloth filters for most shop vacuums. HOWEVER, there is one important thing people need to understand about installing them. These filters are NOT supposed to be installed over the 'top' of the pleated cartridge filter! They are installed 'in place' of the cartridge filter (i.e. in lieu of). So, to install them, you must remove the pleated cartridge filter and install this bag directly over the cage structure which holds the cartridge filter. Make sure to get the cloth filter pulled all the way to the top of the cage structure so the band on the bag goes into the slot at the top, all the way around (and some vacuums even have a large rubber band to further secure it even more than the one which comes with the bag itself). Additionally, the filter cartridge does NOT get installed over the top of the cloth bag filter. It's just the cloth filter OR the cartridge filter...not both. These filter bags will maximize the suction of your shop vacuum, but they are not made for vacuuming everything (especially water). And, being a cloth filter, they don't filter out as much fine dust as the pleated cartridge filters do, BUT your vacuum will pick up a lot more debris and have more suction power with one of these bags than with the cartridge filters. Like any vacuum, as the vacuum canister fills up the vacuum will incrementally lose suction and need to be emptied eventually. But this is all just common sense...which doesn't seem to be so "common" anymore, hence all the comments about the filter bag not fitting properly.
