Years ago, you had to use 2 different attachments for the same function. Players in the 90s weren't using garters anymore and were just taping the socks to their pads. I love using the old socks, so the garter was a welcome feature and naturally the cup holder is a MUST for protecting the family jewels.... Doesn't stretch out of shape, couplings are well made. Very comfortable, Unnoticeable and lightweight.

What is there to say?! It blocks and protects and the garter is great. I have not had any issues with the cup which, I also bought from shock doctor, or stitching at all. I just think that those that do...have a misconception about what size they are. Meaning they think they have a 34in waist but really have a 38in waist and that is might just be causing a little too much strain on the stitching! That being said...I will buy another when this one is done.

I got game-used San Jose Sharks chin guard socks but the only issue was the socks were too large to fit over my small legs even with chin guards. The main problem was it was very difficult for the top of the socks to be held in place since I had no way to clip them onto something on my waist and they would always fall off my legs. However, this jock supporter fixed just that and I am ever so happy about it. Took some product modifications to make it happen but made it work.

I don’t play hockey often but when I do I’m always annoyed with socks constantly falling down. These were a little hard to attach to the socks at first, but once they’re on they aren’t going anywhere. Product works perfectly for what I needed.

Sizing seems to fit a bit on the tight side

Really high quality, comfortable as well which is unusual sometimes with a jock. The garters are stitched in well for high quality which is what I worried about. Really good at keeping stalkings up. Look great and all the guys on the team want a pair as well. The garters are a very smart addition to a jock, I can also use them for baseball as I like wearing high socks. Very good quality, very comfortable, innovative design with garter to keep high socks up.

I have been using compression pants with cup holder and velcro tabs to hold up my hockey socks for a few years playing pickup and open hockey 2-3 times per month and it was...meh. It wasn't bad but I just didn't love how the cup 'floated' just a bit and the socks would drop, but nothing drastic. I decided to purchase this style as I wanted to try the 'old school' garter style again that I wore in high school back in the early 80's. I was a bit concerned from some reviews on the plastic part that wedges the sock into the metal ring to hold them in place. They used to be a hard rubber and would last many years of daily use. After using this for a dozen or so skates, I'm very pleased. I prefer the snug, but not tight, fit of the cup as it's being held in place by the supporter and not in a pocket on compression pants that move a bit. I also like the way they hold the socks in place but don't 'get in the way' when I'm sitting on the bench....don't realize I'm wearing them. So far they seem to be holding up well and time will tell how long the connector part lasts but these seem to be a good choice!

Seems like decent quality. I’ll report back if issues arise. Order a medium 32-34 fit. I wear an honest 32” pant fit is snug but not restrictive. With no draw string this was a concern that I had prior to ordering. FYI NO CUP comes with time

I play a lot of ice hockey. I had been using a Warrior Ice Hockey Girdle, shell and various brands of compression shorts. I get very hot wearing all this. I read the reviews of this Shock Doctor Jock/Garter and decided to give it a try. I have only had it about a week, but love it. It takes some skill to fasten the garter straps to my socks, but I am getting better at it... I found it is easier to fasten the back ones first then the front. I don't seem to get as hot, and it fits very nice... no movement, and it almost feels like you aren't wearing anything... the breeze on your butt feels nice. Yesterday I ordered two more. I don't think I'll ever go back to my compression shorts.

The cup area is light and breathes well, the straps are pretty standard and also work well, and the elastic band is very stretchy, surprisingly wide, and holds very nicely. The proportions are perfect and it is the most comfortable I've ever worn. One warning though, IT DOES NOT COME WITH A CUP, YOU MUST INSERT YOUR OWN INTO THE SLEEVE. Since I was replacing my old garter I already had one, so not a big deal.
