For reference I work on patrol for a major law enforcement agency in a metropolitan area. For the last two years ish. I have been using N-Ear ear pieces. In the two years I went through 6 of them. 4 of them were warrantied and I bought two. So about $300 in two years for ear pieces.Last week my n-ear died on me in the middle of shift. I needed a quick replacement (luckily it broke on my Friday).I have had my eye on a sheepdog ear piece for a while but never pulled the trigger on it because while N-ears were breaking on me left and right, they were incredibly comfortable, and the sound was amazing.But this time I didn’t feel like messing around with n-ears awful customer service, I bought the sheepdog. And I am very glad I did. The overall quality seems good. I’m still unsure about longevity but so far it works amazing. The audio is slightly worse than the n-ear but has less of the annoying white noise when someone keys up. So overall it’s evens out. As for comfort it is on par with the n-ear. It fits amazing.Now for the reason I bought it, cost. At half the price I can say it’s definitely worth the money. Hopefully it doesn’t die on me like the n-ears have.

Switched to this tubeless Sheepdog after using a tube type earpiece. This is a much smaller earpiece. Hold snugly in my ear, even when moving around. Even with the earpiece in, I can hear with that ear almost as if I wasn't wearing an earpiece. Did not need as much radio volume either. Hope it lasts a good while.

These are so much better than acoustic tube earpieces. They allow you to maintain situational awareness and have great sound quality. They're also more comfortable than acoustic tubes and let your ear breathe. I highly recommend these to LE and security professionals who can wear earpieces with their radios.
