I work in a very noisy environment and it is also quite dusty and such. I have the need to hear radio comms, and need to have my transmissions heard without having to yell. These things absolutely delivered both. However I’m thinking they are not for the dusty environment I work in. After only two weeks of use I am no longer heard when speaking, not even a little. So with that said I would highly recommend this item as long as you don’t work in a dusty/ dirty environment. Yes I cleaned the unit daily and took as much care to avoid the mic from becoming dirty, no avail. So I am disappointed because it worked very well to start. Hope this helps

This product is exactly what you need for loud event to list and communicate with other parties. The first time I used the Rugged brand was a a race I was working for NASCAR. I was able to hear and communicate with the tower and those around me with no problems.A added plus is the Aux port so you can listen to a scanner or music.

Rugged is our go to for communication when we ride. These headsets are our favorite. Not only can you chat clearly in the vehicle and from bike to bike. It is great to muffler the bike noise and protect your ears. Bonus. Keeps ears clean when riding in dusty trails as well.

Great headset. Only reason 3 stars on comfort is because. It come with foam ear pieces. I swapped them out to gel. Makes a huge difference. I ordered new mic. Rugged Radio refunded my purchase on the new mike. From a random drawing as a way to say thank you to customers. I am really thankful to Rugged Radio.

What else can I say. I have a few Kenwood's and a ton of Baofeng HTs, some if which I use for my A.R.E.S. ham radio events, etc. Some of these environments (especially parades + such) get extremely noisy, and so standard HT speakers and mics will not do. I've tried one other cheaper pair of headphones before which did help somes in terms of hearing, but the sound muffling as well as the microphone audio had a lot to build upon.So I took the chance on these and BINGO - already worth ever cent! Extremely comfortable, I realize also helmet compatible. Sound muffling and audio quality are great, mic quality really does to seem to cancel some background noise. I wish the coiled cables we just slightly longer, but they are just the right length to do the job.What else can I say? Works like a charm, worth every penny !!!
