holes without threads are too small to fit bolts with the adjoining bolts that the holes that are threaded for won't fit thru them.

a big part of the reason I got these was to use them as a right angle guide. only the ceter 4 holes are tapped so that pretty much keeps that from happening. other than that they seem fine

These are remarkably accurate, for the price. They're as good as my (also Chinese, but not bottom-dollar) digital calipers.Arrived well oiled in waxed paper and inside a plastic bag, but packaged in a pretty flimsy cardboard box, which came in nothing more than a padded envelope. Both blocks had fallen out of the box inside the envelope. One of mine got a little dinged in transit, so one corner needed a bit of touch up to remove a raised edge.Clean them up with a bit of acetone or brake cleaner, and then hit them with something like Boeshield, or they'll start rusting immediately.Surface finish is very good, nicely ground and polished, except the edges, where you can see some light tool marks from where they were eased. For my use, it'll be OK. But if you want true precision machinist tools, you will need to spend a bit more and get a set that at least comes in a protective case. But for the money, this is a good set. (I bought the 1-2-3 inch version, with 23 holes, which look well machined.)

I have access to true precision measuring equipment for grinding and this what I see.Flatness was as advertised .0002 I'm seeing .0001 flatness. All sides are oversize by. 0001 to .0003 which I like because they can be dusted off in a surface grinder and still be to size. If you work where you need blocks more accurate than these, you shouldn't be using 123 blocks. Excellent value for money on size. HRC hardness tested out to 62 which is higher than advertised and as hard as heat treated D2 tool steel.

I want to make it absolutely clear that I am in no way affiliated with this company.I purchased these after reading the review and always wanting some 123 blocks just to have around for checking squareness of woodworking tools. These things are DEAD NUTS ACCURATE.Measured with a digital caliper, exactly 1.000 2.000 and 3.000 over the part. That wasn’t enough so I broke out the surface plate and starrett dial indicator.1 ten thousandth over the three inches.Buy them.
