As with all Sharkbite items this was easy to connect and works great. Unfortunately, my last pressure valve from Sharkbite went bad after only 7 years. I think the major issue was that because it can rotate in the fittings it eventually flipped upside down and rusted at the pressure valve. I'm not sure if that's a common problem, but this time I ran a strap around it and fastened it so that it'll stay right side up.

Home pressure 80, so I try to reduce it with this because easy connect/ shark just cut the pipe. But reduce it to 70 as factory adjust I agree with that but when you flush toilet and use any faucet go down to 30. / try to return but already connected need to replace easy for me.

I installed this to reduce the high water pressure in my house. As my filtration system has a max of 60 PSI and the incoming water pressure is also 60 PSI, I wanted to reduce the pressure. Easy process : Closing main valve - cutting the PEX pipe - installing Pressure Regulating Valve - opening main valve: Finished!!

It was weird when I first installed it the pressure dropped to the preset 50 PSI but then started creeping up and hitting the street pressure of 100 PSI. We have a Moen Flo automatic shut off (which is how we found we had too high of water pressure) so at first, I thought it was a Flo issue, but it seemed to be working fine. So, I ordered a replacement December 14, but today December 18, the PRV started working like it should. All I can figure is either something washed into it or it needed to run awhile to break in. I suspect something got lodged in the gasket after water was restored and worked itself out. Anyway I will just be sending back replacement unopened as the unit we have seems to be working great now. I am a fan of shark bites which made it very easy to install (and replace if I ever need to).

My old pressure regulating valve was tired and needed to be replaced. I cut the old one out and soldered hard copper with couplers to my soft copper pipes. Sharkbite requires hard copper pipe when being used with it's fittings. I combined this pressure regulating valve with a sharkbite slip valve for ease of replacement in the future. After my work had been done there was a problem with the static pressure of the valve.I ordered another one of these valves and planned to return the defective one once I had the replacement in hand. Thankfully my prep work allowed me to replace the defective valve with the replacement within 2 minutes and I was done. Please read the proper way to use sharkbite fittings. Prep work is important, deburr your pipes (inside and outside), make straight cuts, ensure they go to the correct depth, and you'll be golden.
