Do not be fooled by the pictures that it shows. It's flimsy, it's all rolled up and when you get it it will never look like the product that is shown in the photos. Don't cheap out on these type of products I did and I'm paying the price.

I actually put it on a carpeted area and it is not moving around for me. It is a good quality product, I am 200Lbs+ and the wheels of my chair are not leaving any tracks so far.I have read in other reviews that some people had issues unrolling it. I did not have any. I made sure to enroll it so that the curve at the edge faces the floor and not the ceiling. Then I lied on it for about 10 minutes and it was almost completely flat. (If you have a yoga mat and do some activity, it is a good idea to put the yoga mat on top for that 10 minute period.) Then I put it in the intended area and it was completely flat the next day.Now I have some industrial carpet, it works for me, I cannot guarantee it works on any kind of carpet.

This mat is so thin that it was very tightly rolled and mailed in a 4 inch wide box. I put it down and am using it because it is all that I have.......but I'll have to see just how long it lasts. Don't know if it is worth the money. We'll see.

Very nice quality. I highly recommend for usage on hardwood floor. I bought one first to check it and this is my second order and very happy.

Does a nice job of protecting the floor, has good coverage area and seems durable. It does come tightly rolled up and takes a while to flatten out, but there are sticky double sided stickers that came with that help hold it down and keep it from sliding.

It's protecting my floor, my chair runs smoothly. It doesn't move (although it is held under my desk). Great purchase. It does smell when you first take it out so leave it in the garage unrolled for a couple of days and that'll sort it out.

Ordered the product and it arrived promptly. Accurate website description/measurements. I purchased the one for hardwood floors (smooth plastic) It is not too large but just enough to roll the chair under the desk and a few feet back. I bought an Ikea chair and the castors were leaving marks on the hardwood. Wish I found this product before this happened. There are no rubber/silicone type replacement castors that seem to fit Ikea brand chairs so this mat is my solution. Satisfied with the mat, easy to vacuum and wipe clean. It comes with stickers you can put on the corners but I find it lays flat and they have not been necessary.

The mat didn't stink too bad. It lays relatively flat, just a few very small ripples that have not been a problem. the edges are still flat after several weeks of use. It does show some indentations where the wheels rest while I am sitting in the chair, but they disappear after a while. It does a good job of protecting a hard surface floor. My floor is vinyl installed upside down on a wood floor, then hand painted, stamped, and stencilled. Then covered with a bunch of thin coats of water based varnish. The chair wheels were grinding grit into the painted surface, so this mat put a stop to that. The funny thing is the instructions state "unpack your mat and allow it to warm up to room temperature for easier unrolling". However, the instructions were rolled up inside the mat, so you have to unroll the mat to read the sheet of instructions! The smooth side goes down and the textured side goes up. It is easy enough to roll around on, but my chair does not roll unexpectedly.

Product works fine on carpet IF you use an underlayment. My home office is carpeted and have had a PVC chair mat over a 3/8" x 48" x 48" piece of plywood for probably 6 to 7 years. The underlayment, while certainly helping, was not thick enough. The plywood finally cracked and so of course the chair mat did as well. This time I used TWO sections of 3/16" x 48" x 48" underlayment (plywood), with this new office chair mat over each. This is enough thickness to create a solid surface under the office chair, while not at all so thick to feel like I would stub my foot when walking to the office chair. As these pictures show, I cut four pieces of 1/4" plywood (4" x 4" each) to place under the front legs of my desk to "transition" from the underlayment to the chair legs. Otherwise the PVC mat will show a buckle under the chair legs. Obviously the finish look of any underlayment is a matter of personal preference. The office chair rolls fine, and the chair mat does not slip.

This chair mat has helped protect my floor. I installed an engineered hardwood floor in my home office over a year ago, when I removed the carpet. The engineered hardwood floor looks beautiful and I want it to last, but the wheels on the desk chair stopped rolling and just slid across the floor, because the floor is smooth and not textured. This dragging motion started to show signs of wear on the floor under the chair. I put this chair mat down to save my floor and it has stopped the dragging motion and loosened the wheels to be able to roll again because the chair mat is slightly textured on one side to promote the wheels to roll. The chair mat is performing nicely and has helped save my floor for years to come.Make sure you wash the floor from dust before putting it on the floor so it doesn't slip. I am very happy with this product and it seems to stay in place.

I’m taking a few minutes to write a review based on reaction from some of the other reviews I saw posted when I was shopping for a chair mat.I wanted to help out people that may be stressing out from some saying “looks nice but slides all over”. It doesn’t, read below to help you decide.I have been working from my home office for the last few months. So I needed a mat to put down on my hardwood floors to protect them from wear from my office chair.I wanted a clear mat so it doesn’t detract from the hard wood flooring. I also wanted one with a “lip” to go under the desk for my feet as well as a surface area for the chair. I found this 47”x36” one in the SHAREWIN Chair Mats for hard wood floors. Price was great at $26.99 and perfect footprint for looks and performance in a home office. So what’s the problem? Well, I kept seeing mixed reviews...some satisfied but some saying it slips and moves around too much. Oh no..who wants a chair mat that slips and moves around. Argh!Well, I decided to take a chance. I mean, at that price, it’s not a huge deal if it doesn’t work out. So, I place the order, I get the mat and now it’s time to put it to the test.First I unroll the mat and lay it down to straighten out and “uncurl”. They are shipped rolled up and wrapped, so they have to settle and lay down (time varies but usually by morning at room temperature they are flat). I put books on the corners of mine to help it flatten out. As I was doing that I did notice it seemed to slide around a bit. But, I gave it overnight to settle. The next day I pick up the books and it’s nice and flat. Now it’s on to the “slipping” test. I place it in front of my desk and *important* put the SLICK clear side down and the slightly textured/frosted side up. I put my chair on the mat. I rolled my chair around, pushed on the mat with my feet...and nothing, it stayed in place and worked perfectly fine...all day. Success! My search was over and I paid less than I had planned. Another great product found on Amazon.I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and still no problems. If you pick up the sides and pull up it will lose contact with the floor and slide wherever you move it. Then simply place it back down flat on the floor and it stays in place. Don’t worry about people saying it slides all over. If it’s sliding on them then maybe it’s a polish or coating or something on their floor (or they have the wrong side down). This mat itself has no problems, it grips the floor and works well.So hopefully that helps out anyone on the fence like I was about it. Great price, great product, no worries.
