This beautiful piece absolutely qualifies as a mat. It has a nonslip rubber backing, and there is no pile to it, your office chair should be able to roll over it easily. I will be using it in my craft room, and I’m in the middle of rearranging it, so I will update if the chair won’t roll!

This office area rug is the perfect size to fit under your office chair. The carpet has no pile to speak of so my chair rolls smoothly over it with very little effort. Also, the undercoating keeps the rug in place. So, when you roll around in your chair, the carpet doesn't bunch up and get caught under the chair's wheels.The dark color fits practically any setting and the carpet feels fairly durable.

I got this because my wife works from home and she was worried that her office chair was starting to leave wear marks on our hardwood floors. It does the trick so far. It was very easy to get it to lay flat. It like some of that this plastic mats. Seems sturdy enough to hold up for a while.

Decent mat for protecting your floors, but the backing doesn't grip so if you use this as a chair mat like they intend, it will slowly creep as you move your chair around. You'll either need to re-adjust it every few days, secure it by putting the edges underneath some heavy furniture, or put down a rubber grip mat.

Beautiful mat for protecting our hardwood floor from the piano bench sliding in and out. I love the black pattern, looks so much more classy in our front room than a clear plastic desk mat. Only con is it came folded in a bag so its a little wrinkled but I think that will go away with time.
