I’ve been using the Taotree 9.5" Fabric Scissors for a few sewing projects, and they’ve worked wonderfully. The zig-zag decorative edge, thanks to the pinking shears, creates a clean finish that prevents fabric from fraying—perfect for all my quilting and scrapbooking needs. So, i have my expensive zigzag scissors and just figured they would be my special ones, and this pair would be just for crafts and such.Then I tried them out in comparison. I was kind of shocked that this pair, with the plastic handles, hurt my arthritic hands less to use. They weigh less also, which sadly for moi, has also become an issue. I have a pair of curtains waiting in my wherewithal line, and have already done another same pair of curtains with my current scissors. So eager to try these new ones out on lots of things!They did just fine with paper, which I expect to be my main use anyway, since i like to make cards and such for special people, and I’d never use my fine, expensive scissors on paper!For how much use they’ll get, no idea how they’ll hold up, but man o man, you just can’t beat the price/value of this new pair. The bonus is they work so well and hurt less to use. Can’t beat that with a stick.Oh yeah, they come with a cheapo plastic sheath, which means I may simply keep them in my kitchen hardware drawer without being concerned for them, or me when I reach for something else in that drawer.

These Aotree 9.5" Fabric Pinking Shears are an excellent product, especially at this great price point. They are strong, well-made, and should hold up for years. I used them for this review on an old T-shirt that was well-worn. The edge cut kept the material from unraveling, and as you can see in the photos there are no small strings where it has been cut. This is exactly what we look for in a pinking shear so that the material stays in place. I folded the material three times so there were 8 layers and the shears cut through it easily. Not only are they sharp and leave a well-defined edge they will also lessen the amount of pressure on your hands as you cut single or double-layer materials.

I have a pair of Gingher pinking shears and some other shears my mom left me and in terms of frequency of use I will likely turn to these most often.Why?• Lightweight• Don't hurt my hands• Do a good job of cuttingI enjoy nice knives and scissors. I like good quality cutting implements. For my snobbery ;) to like these as much as a I do is pretty impressive…I really didn't expect to.If you need a pair of shears for travel because maybe you don't want to bring your $40 shears out: this would be a wonderful addition. Even if you are the occasional user of pinking shears: this is terrific. Will these outlast my nicer pinking shears? Not sure, time will tell. I lean to "no" but I could entirely be wrong. They FEEL solid and like they will last for sure. Will they? At a sub 10 USD pair of pinking shears I don't know that it matters TOO much. The value and quality of cut and better ergonomics for my smaller hands is definitely there.

I was immediately impressed with this pair of pinking shears - They are of decent weight materials, and nice construction. The handle material has a slight grippy area in the inner part that is firm, but nice to hold. They feel good in the hand and are well -balanced to hold. The cut stroke is smooth and the cut points have been very crisp.They cut true on fabric. Lots of fabric. I have a huge donated pile of quilting fabric scraps in various condition that I have been using these on to prevent fraying and the have been working fabulous.They are a quite large pair of scissors and if you have a smaller hand you may not be able to utilize the full depth of the cut. This means more individual cuts on a long piece of material - it could be a problem if you need really tight precision. I have fairly long fingers, but found it quite a stretch to manage a typical cut of over 2-1/2" in length. It seems like the jaws opening wide to cut the full length might be a little hard for some people.Overall I really like these and am over all very happy about the build quality. These should hold up to the mountain of scraps I have.

The scissors arrived in a cardboard box with a plastic sheath to protect the stainless steel blades. The first thing I noticed about the scissors is its weight. This isn’t a cheap, fast ,put-together item. It is solidly built with a 9.5 inch length. Even before using, you can surmise how well the blades will cleanly cut just by seeing the two blades of the scissors tightly intertwine.The handles follow the usual standard of two placements for the hand, one large, the other smaller. It is comfortable to use but needs some strength depending on what you are cutting. I have used it on paper, thicker cardboard and different types of cloth. All came out as I expected - no tears. I was surprised how well it cut through a piece of balsa wood 1/16” thick with no distortion in the pattern. I It didn’t even need sanding to finish. I’ll be using the pair of scissors a lot for my hobby.The product appears to be well made and works as described. I would recommend it.
