TWO WAYS TO INSTALL
ADHESIVE INSTALLATION
For the smooth surface
STEP1: Clean the surface and keep dry.
STEP2: Tear off the protective film.
STEP3: Press the bottom plate to make sure the wall and rubber surface fit together.
STEP4: Allow it to stand for 24 hours prior to use.
SCREWS INSTALLATION
For the rough surface
STEP1：Mark the location of the paper towel holder hole.
STEP2：Drill holes in the marked areas with an electric drill.
STEP3：Insert the expansion screws into the perforated position.
STEP4：Align the paper towel holder with the hole and tighten the screws, cover the screw cap.

The adhesive holds it without a problem. We've been using it for a few months and it takes regular use without issues. Easy to adjust the tension too.

I bought 2 of these units, 1 for the Kitchen and the other for the Bathroom. This unit holds 2 toilet paper rolls and works better then any other TP holder on the market. It has a tension that allows the paper to be removed yet won't just run away and spill all the TP onto the floor. Sure it's not designed for TP but it works, and works well. You just need to adjust it as the holder is tapered and the TP rolls will fall to the short side. But you are right there with nothing better to do anyways so simply slide it back into place. Having a holder with 2 TP Rolls is nice, you will not EVER run out of TP as you will always have a spare roll in plane sight. Now, if you do run out of TP, it's your own fault for seeing only 1 roll on the holder and not getting more; just saying be smart. In the kitchen this item is wonderful as well, dispensing a sheet or two at a time with out worry that you will pull the entire roll of paper towels off the rack. It would be nice if the tension was adjustable, if it is, I didn't figure it out, but the tension is fine overall for either TP or Paper Towels; or dare I say for TP or PT LOL.... Great product, highly recommend.

I just received this and installed it in a matter of minutes. This paper towel holder is really high end. Really nice brushed finish. solid mounting plate, solid ratcheting system that will keep the paper towels from unrolling in the breeze in my garage, and allow me to snatch the one or two I need while holding something in my other hand.About the installation. I read some reviews that talked about the fact that the mounting holes are behind the roller and difficult to get at with a screwdriver. It took me a whopping 1/2 of a second to see that the mechanism is mounted by a single heavy duty screw to the bracket. Pull the screw and viola'! Mount the plate and remount the mechanism to the mounting plate. One detail to be aware of though is that the roller mechanism mounting plate has a teeny tiny tab that inserts into an indentation on the mounting bracket. Be sure to line those up when you remount the mechanism or it'll end up sticking out at an awkward angle and may spin on the plate.All in all, a really nice paper towel holder and easy to mount. Highly recommended.
