Great lil fridge for trips to the coast... Easy to figure out. Runs quiet. Recommend plugging in to a wall socket the day before you take off. Make thing simple.

I think that for what you are paying, this is a great fridge (AJ40). I have been testing it over the summer months in my car with a portable power station to keep it running while the car is parked and will say it does a fine job. The big test will be next year when I [hopefully] go on a cross country trip to some national parks.I will make one mention that kept me from giving 5 stars. My fridge seemed unusually loud (~50-60 dB) when the compressor was running. I previously did not have any experience with such 12V refrigerators so I reached out to customer service to ask if this was normal. Setpower customer service was quite responsive and was clearly trying to be helpful. I sent several short video clips demonstrating the issue. Customer service agreed something was not right, but they passed things on to R&D for another opinion. R&D said this was normal operation. Support offered me a 5% refund for my trouble, and things ended there. Well, the sound level still bothered me, so I ordered a second fridge, and my suspicions were correct. The compressor of the second fridge (same exact model) ran at ~40 dB - significantly quieter. I returned the louder fridge.Again, for the price, I think it's a great value. Folk should be aware of the noise level as these can truly run quietly. Customer service was great but came up a bit short in that they didn't offer to replace the fridge on their own. But really for the price you can't go wrong.

First a couple negatives that aren't deal breakers. The handles are lack luster. Not talking about the metal tie downs here. The little extra bonus space doesn't seem to keep as cold of a temp. We had some suspect snacks after 2 days. It's easy to move around I don't think it weighs more than a cooler with ice and stuff. Way more convenient then ice. Used it for 30 hours of driving and a couple weeks of using it like a little fridge.Tested it with a 2kwh solar generator and it seemed like it would run for a few days off of that as well.It fits behind the seats in my non crew cab truck and the power cable is easy to route.

Ampliamente recomendado.

I have had this for just over a year and use it on every one of my weekend warrior camping trips. When I'm not traveling, I keep it in my work van to keep all of my drinks ice cold during the hot summer months. This thing gets so cold that it will freeze water bottles into a solid block of ice, so when you put it on 37° it's perfect as an actual refrigerator. Any lower, beware because things will actually freeze. It plugs into your cigarette lighter or you can plug it into a wall outlet with the adapter. I was pretty surprised how well this thing works, it's not your typical 12-volt automotive ref. It's a legit deep freeze! Great customer service too.

Used this on a 2 week cross-country road trip to keep food cold and it worked very well. I had it plugged into my Ecoflow Delta 2 and it kept our food cold day and night. For anyone who wants to know how much this draws: 100% charged Delta 2 will keep this running at 37° in Eco mode for roughly 2 full days in variable temperature conditions. 80° during the day and 40-70° at night were my conditions. I noticed that when I had this in the bed of my truck and were driving through much hotter climates like Oklahoma and Texas it kicked on A LOT more often so keep that in mind. I ended up moving it into the backseat of my truck with the Delta 2 and it definitely ran more efficiently. The fridge pulls anywhere from 42-51 watts when the compressor is running and I completely removed the little white cage they give you to make more room for food and bottles. On the last day of our road trip the fridge had turned off at some point and I didn't notice it until I got home. Not sure what went wrong but I plugged it into a wall outlet in my house and it spun back up again so I guess we'll see if it was a battery issue or a fridge issue. I would definitely recommend this over a big expensive cooler for extended camping.

We purchased this unit as an upgrade to our existing refrigerator only unit. We’ve done several tests and surprisingly it chills super fast, within 15 minutes. I’ve taken it to the 0° mark and was able to transport frozen ice cream with no problem. We tested it full of food at the 28° mark and everything Was kept equally cold to our home refrigerator. This is a great option for camping and I am so excited to not need any more ice. We’ve also tested it on our small gold labs solar power box. We would do the initial cooling on max mode, using the house plug or car charger and once out of the car, use the eco-mode with our solar box, which gave us at least six hours at the 28° mark. We also have a portable solar panel Which you can hook up in sync and allow it to run for a longer period of time. Our main concern was overnight cooling which we determined that with a six hour available charge on our solar box. It would hold the 28° temperature through the night from 11 PM till 5 AM. We’ve done several tests to see how long the freezer would remain cold without it being plugged in and that is two hours. Ultimately with no sun we can eight hours total cooling time. Then when you wake up in the morning, you plug it back into the car or the solar panel using the sun and continue on. I highly recommend this unit and I am very impressed with its compact size, but yet has more than enough room for all of our items that we typically take camping. the whites it needs to run our half of what our old little refrigerator took when on eco-mode. The eco-mode is super quiet, and I gotta say that the max mode is also quiet as I can hardly hear it so the noise level is exceptional. I would only recommend using the max mode if plugged into a car or house, since that would drain too much from our solar box and cut our call time and a half , the unit does weigh a little bit without food but it’s well worth it to avoid the bags of ice and melted water.
