I like how the handles look like actual antique brass. The boxes are really well made, sturdy, and I wouldn't have guessed they're cardboard. I've bought a lot of decorative cardboard boxes over the years (for sending gifts) and I was hesitant about these because they're more expensive than most, but wow, the quality really does make a difference. These really are keepers -- meaning the box itself is part of the gift. I'm not a huge pink and flowers kind of person, but I actually love these so much I'm using one for a gift and I'm keeping the other two for myself.

THIS GETS RID OF THAT SHOE BOX THAT YOU USE TO STORE THINGS IN AND ADDS A POP OF COLOR TO THE ROOM. I LOVE THESE, LATCHES CLOSE, STACKABLE AND THE APPEARANCE IS WAY BETTER THAN THAT OLD SHOE BOX

These boxes are adorable! I keep mine stacked on a shelf. The bottom two are hardly ever accessed, as I just use them to keep some little things out of sight and organized. The smallest, though, which is on top, is accessed daily because I keep my glucose meter and testing supplies in it. It's been about a year of daily use, and it still looks new. With that being said, don't mistake these as a child's toy, they are not meant for that kind of use and would not hold up being handled that way.

The boxes are beautiful, and will be nice to use for keepsakes, however the cardboard is not as thick as I would have liked.
