Cheap Chinese kit furniture made of soft pine. Package was heavily damaged but fortunately the product was fine. Assy. Was straightforward. Unit looks good and fulfills its purpose which is to store my LP overflow in my basement.

I received my order today, and the crate was very easy to assemble; didn't take very long. (If a 76yoa woman can do it, so can you!). The wood is a lighter shade, a creamy white, as opposed to the photo. That's fine with me, it looks great, and I always allow for color variation when ordering online. Instructions are included, simple to follow; all the pre-drilled holes lined-up nicely. Extra screws included. End result was a very sturdy crate. I did what my Dear father taught me many, many years ago, which I'm sure most people already know: put the screws in, but don't make them tight, make sure all holes are aligned, and pieces fit together well. THEN go back and tighten all the screws. Wooden pieces were securely packaged in the box, and were in perfect condition. Very happy with this purchase and price.

I've been using these Crates since 2015, and they are perfect. I bought four, and I do not regret it. The only problem is the price because now they are more expensive than years ago. Nevertheless, I want to continue buying these crates. I hope to find better prices.

I purchased this item after seeing this beautiful and distinctive storage option for my vinyl record collection. The seller well packaged my items (I ordered 2 crates) and shipped fairly quickly. The items received were simply beautiful; however one crate needed to be replaced due to a thin crack on the emblem portion of the crate. However; the seller quickly sent a replacement item without delayed and this unit was not damaged. As other reviewers have stated you are simply paying for the Crosley emblem which is the only true distinction of this crate in addition to the array of colors available.Although the description states that it will hold 70 Lp’s I wouldn’t put more that 50-59 per crate in order to avoid the possibility of either spindling or just breaking. The crate is fairly easy to put together however proceed with caution because the wood is generally a pressed wood and spindle easily when tightening the screws in the predrilled holes. The manufacturer recommends a Phillips head screw; however if you want it one and done you just might want to elect using a low voltage power drill with gradual tightening.Although, the crates are beautiful I’m not sure if I could justify the cost of this item coupled with my reluctance to placed more than 50 or so records in the crate at a time.If you are just beginning your vinyl record collection and have a smaller collection I would recommend these crates merely for the “cool factor” versus the overall functionality; for those vinyl enthusiasts with a larger collection you may wish to purchase a pair also for the “cool factor” just don’t expected an extended amount of functionality for you larger collection.

I had over 100 old vinyl records i wanted to get out of the way and be able to find what I wanted to hear without having to look all over for a record. I looked most of the month of December for the old crate looking box I use to keep my albums in back in the 80" when I would purchase records from a local Atlanta record store Called Peaches. They sold a wooden crate looking box that fit your album vertically and horizontally, and looked cool; friends would attach stickers and even draw and paint on the wood crate for a personalized look that was kinda cool. I looked in Wallmart, best buys even a few new vinyl stores that sell old, used album along with new records. I had no success and look on Amazon and found a few that looked like the might work many of the crate looking ones were not tall enough snd erer s a return backo amazon even one that looked nice thatIpurchaced and had to assambletht wastoung and grove and supose to be no problen. I never got it together without one of the tounges broke during assembly, and I ended up gluing it together but our about sixty bucks. I kept looking, and I found Crosley crate at a third of the price and stated that it held 75 records. I purchased 2 of them, and the boxing was colorful with a nice professional look and easy to read and follow assembly instructions, All holed werepre drilled with countersunk hole for a beautiful, sturdy record crate with a clean look after assembly. It took me less than five minutes to put the record crates together. Great price good quality sturdy fresh look I would buy again if I needed any more record storage.

I recently upgraded my home theater by adding a Samsung 82 inch QLED. I then built a small IKEA cabinet to put under the TV and center speaker to hide the wires and cabling. I had a lot extra space to use and had a collection of almost 500 vinyl records, but no place to show them off. Having these vinyl records in crates really added to the ambiance to the theater and filled up the space nicely. I chose the Crosley Storage Crates because of their retro look and the ease of assembly. It only took about 5 minutes to assemble each crate. I really like the look of these. They not only look nice, but are quite sturdy and very practical.

That's what it is. A wooden crate with assembly required. Perfectly sized to hold those precious records and flip through them with ease. Some reviews mention the wood is cheap, but it does what it needs to do when assembled properly.TIP: put a bead of wood glue on the surfaces before screwing down. Makes the thing feel solid as a rock. Hopefully for many years to come.I also added some adhesive rubber feet to the bottom to avoid scratching wooden floors if I slide it around full of records.Sure, the corners may not be 100% flush, but that adds to the charm. It's a record crate!I got mine in natural with the intent to stain it, but I kind of like the look as-is. It may seem a bit pricey for what it is, but it's worth it thinking of what I would have to go through to build the same thing in my garage. I plan on getting a couple more to hold the rest of my collection. Good find!
