Yes I know septic tank stuff stinks , I get it I work on septic tanks sometimes but this is like 10x septic tank smell. one of the bags was broken open inside the container. WOW. So I went to put the "dust" into the toilet. BIG MISTAKE. I hooked up a 20 inch box fan blowing into the 12x20 bathroom turned on the exhaust fan and ran the house ac fan constantly took 4 hours to "air out" enough to be in there and the next day for it to be just noticable. Wear gloves and open the container OUTSIDE first Incase anything broke in there. I'm serious. The plus side is if it smells this strong just like a septic tank smells when you take the lid off u know it's got to be packed with septic bacteria

These are great for my septic. Easy to just throw in. Works really awesome with my hard water in my home. Great price ! Totally recommend !

From first opening the package not sure how effective it will be. It seems to have ate through the foil seal. Packet’s aren’t very full. Lot of powdery dust inside container.There is a strong odor, but not a bad odor. Put the packet in the toilet, waited a few seconds and then flushed it. Pretty easy to do, but make sure hands are dry! No way to measure how effective these are.
