The other product like this recommends 1/3 of a box every few months. I never seemed to remember. This system is once a month and has a convenient place on the bag to check a box every month. Makes it easier to remember. Septic guy says tank looks good so it must be working

In the past I would buy bottles of sink/toilet pourable Septic Tank Treatment Packages and the bottles were good for two maybe three uses. Once I was out I forgot to get more or because these bottles were so expensive. I would try to go without treating my tank and not having any assuredness that there were enough microbes to break down the solids in my septic tank. Now I feel more secure with my choice and on the first of the month I have added tossing a packet of Septic Tank Treatment Packets in my toilet and flush.
