It kinda works. The divider is useless. The fish can swim around it into the bottom section due to the mesh being stretchable. The frame keeps falling apart as you are putting it together.

Good for separation of fry from hungry parents, because as we all know fry are tender and delicious 😋

Works great! I use a binder clip to secure the top to the tank glass so it doesn't accidentally get pushed down below surface of the water.

I have used about 12 - 15 breeder / quarantine Chambers in the years past and none have come up to the standard of this one. The suction cups are fantastic, the structure of the net itself is very strong. Putting it together was a Breese. The color white makes observing your fish sooooo much easier! I would buy another one but this one is standing the test!

This would probably work for larger fry but baby guppies can escape easily by swimming though the mesh. We had 11 babies and one week later, only two were in the breeder.Update: This morning I woke up and the top three suction cups had all come loose. The breeder was at a 45° angle (the top of the breeder was under the waterline) and there were adults in it. Babies gone. I wouldn’t even give this one star at this point.

I actually rarely find the urge to leave reviews but I'm so upset about this purchase and am probably going to miss the window of opportunity to breed my fish because of it... So please read before buying:I am only giving this 2 stars because I imagine it might be better for bigger fish, but even then I doubt it'd offer the amount of space required to make them comfortable. For anything less then 3 inches long, I would not recommend this at all.My main concern was that the mesh was open enough to let eggs fall through instead of staying in the bottom of the net under the guard (the main reason I bought this to avoid them being caught in the filter). Unfortunately I wasn't even able to get that far; When separating males and females into the different sides they continued to swim to either side, swimming between the partition andthe net as it was loose enough to squeeze through I tried to fix this by tightening the net as best I could but it proved pretty futile. When they weren't squeezing between the net and the partition, they were going under the partition because the plastic bottom has nothing to secure it to keep it snug against the bottom of the partition. Beyond that struggle, they would even sometimes go under all the plastic to where the eggs are supposed to fall into.Overall, this will offer a decent separation from the rest of the fish, ie. If you have one that temporarily aggressive or during tank maintenance, but not at all good for breeding.

The plastic parts don't even fit together. It's hard to adjust the separation piece to were it will line up no matter which direction I go. I ended up just piecing it together without the panels. Not a good breeding box though.

These are very nice breeding boxes, the only problem are the netting around it has to large of holes and the fry can get out! I change out the net with panty hose and it works perfectly!
