I got this umbrella in yellow. I was very impressed with how easily it opened and closed with just the touch of a button. Pushing the button to open unfolds it to its full width and you’ll be dry in no time. Closing it is a bit different than other umbrellas I’ve had. When you push the close button, it makes a popping sound (almost like a cap gun) and it retracts all the spokes that hold the fabric. Then you have to use your hand to pull the cylindrical thing down the shaft like, you do with any other umbrella.I love the color yellow. It’s very bright. It’s easy to find in my car. The fabric feels a little bit like a rain slicker.I wouldn’t say it’s rubbery, but it’s definitely got a slippery feel to it. I haven’t tested out in the rain yet, but just opening and closing it a few times, it seems to work really well. I did have trouble fitting it back in the sheath that it comes in. After I pushed the close button, I had to fold it back up and that wasn’t too hard, but I did notice that the little attached Velcro strap that you secure it with is only held on by a few stitches and I suspect that’s not gonna last me very long. It looks like it’s it’s holding a lot of umbrella for a tiny little strap and a Velcro hook.I’d give it five stars - it is certainly compact, it gives good protection. Looks like it will cover me. It’s a great value for the price. I didn’t check it out in the wind yet, but it seems very sturdy - sturdier than other umbrellas I’ve had. I’d say give it a try for the price, if you don’t like it, you can always send it back, but I think you’ll keep it.
