This thing is pretty cool. I tried one a few years ago... it doesn't take long before you start to get the hang of it. What is a bit surreal is that once you are relaxed, you don't even feel like you're consciously controlling it... it's like you just think "I want to turn left" and you just do, because your body learns to make the subtle little adjustments in balance to do it without you having to think about it.The lights and sounds are a bit gimmicky, but I imagine those features appeal more to kids than adults. The outer shell is plastic, so that part doesn't feel super durable... but I think the build quality is still fairly on par with others. I think one of the ad images says this thing has a max distance of 8 miles, which seems unlikely... maybe more like 5. But does that really matter? It's more suited for kids... it's not like they're going to commute to work on this thing.

Great hoverboard. The ride is smooth and the value for money is ok. The design is sleek and it’s fun for the kids. The lights are amazing .My main issue; which is very important for something to use in the outdoors is that the charging port is IMPOSSIBLE to close. I’ve tried over and over and over again. The rubber doesn’t fit over it and it’s super difficult to line up . If it even fits on initially, within seconds it comes looses.We went out for a run today and it kept beeping once we went over like 3.5mph. Yet it says that the speed it goes up to is 7mph.I thought I would be able to run for 4 miles while my daughter is on it. My run turned into a walk/run.Update: got the manual from seller . They are really good communicating. I was able to change it to sports mode and the beeping stopped and it went faster without issue. Lasted 4 miles during hills and undulating roads with loose gravel and stones. Rider was 70 lbs.
