Due to design defects the aftermarket stereo in my car never sat right which resulted in various rattling noises when driving. Once the offending surface was identified it was a matter of finding the right material for the job. Only a few inches of this nice dense neoprene solved the problem in a minute. The adhesive isn't like superglue, so it should be relatively removable without damaging an unfinished surface, though strong enough you'd want to think twice about using it on paint.

Just what I needed to add some padding and grip to my reworked cargo carrier brackets, to prevent marring of my roof crossbars. The thickness of my 1/8" rubber strips, including adhesive, is closer to 0.157" (4.0mm). The adhesive is pretty strong, and the rubber is bendable, but not as compressible as neoprene. The strips can also be cut/trimmed fairly easily with a scissors or utility knife.

I ordered this adhesive neoprene rubber strip to seal the ash box on my wood stove and it works vey well. I'm also using this as a non-skid for for several of my bench top woodworking tools. The adhesive backing makes an extremely secure bond on a clean surface. Make sure the tape is in the proper position before you press it down.... it's difficult to remove and is not as sticky when reapplied.

So I wasn’t able to use this as a full door strip due to the thickness. I was able however to use a small section to secure a small area that was gapped. As for width I measured it at a tiny bit over an1/8 th. . The adhesive is strong and getting the cover of can be a challenge. Overall it does the job.

There are a gazillion uses for this self adhesive padding. I used I it below the center console on my jeep to get rid of a squeak and reduce a cold draft. It is workable and a little flexible and not difficult to trim. Adhesive seems good so far where I have used it on painted steel and aluminum. I don't think the adhesive and the material will work well with a lot of curves or contours, or in situations where gravity or weigh is not helping the adhesive. You may want uncoil it and lay it out flat in a temperate place first so adhesive is not fighting coiling from shipment. The material is much more like vinyl than "neoprene." It barely compresses. Whatever rubber it is it is definitely synthetic and smelled quite strong at first.I ordered the 2"x1/8"x10' and the measurements were all correct except it was just shy of 10' -- more like three meters, as is typical with most things out of the "far east' claiming to be 10'

used on the straps that hold my gas tank on my 69 Chevelle. Super easy, just stick them to the straps. Done
