Received a used item. There were human hairs inside the previously opened box that I was shipped as a "new" item. Items were obviously very used, have several scratches scuffs and damage all over them. I am returning, but have to pay shipping. Terrible experience.

As the headline is titled very addictive! Even gives you a bit of a workout. For the people that have difficulty with balance I can understand, but its a bit of a mind trick when you take the initial first step the unit will help counter balance your weight so you can put your other foot up, naturally you might make it roll forward or backward but once weight is applied you should have no problem putting your other foot on the second unit.Hope this helps :)

I purchased these for my son to have for Xmas last year and already one won’t catch a charge. For the price I feel they shouldn’t have had any problems . I definitely started out a five but now since he hasn’t gotten any real wear out of them they get two stars .

My son got on these the day he got them. He likes to use these and whip around the house. I have tried them and I am much more wobbly. They are used like skates except that you can't lift your foot up. They are quite heavy and the battery doesn't last a really long time. I thought maybe something was wrong with them, but my son didn't want me to send them back or exchange them. I don't think these would be good outside the house. The only other annoying thing is that if you don't have them balanced just right an alarm sounds. I do enjoy seeing my son whip around the house, though. Our house is almost entirely tile so we have a lot of room to ride.

It’s too bad some users had a hard time learning how to use this and scored it low. I’ve never used a hoverboard or a segway before, and I learned how to use these after about 5 minutes. After about 30 minutes, I was able to confidently use them and do whatever.I’m an experienced rollerblader, but this is nothing like rollerblading, people who are comparing these to roller-skates are wrong. This is simply its own thing.I never bought the regular hoverboards because They looked dangerously, if you slip on the regular hoverboards, your whole body goes along with the slip. On these, because they are individual units on your feet, if one of your feet loses control, you can at least have some stability with the other foot. It is still very possible to fall completely on your back, but using a wall when you get started for added stability definitely helps. After about an hour of practice, I got addicted to using them, they are so fun!!

I've been eyeing these for a while now as I'm an avid rollerblader, and finally decided to buy a pair when I saw they were down to $200. Boy am I glad I did! I was a little worried at first about the stability and how they would handle the small bumps I'll inevitably encounter, but so far I've ridden these around my apartment without any issue. The thresholds, while no more than an inch, are fine, as long as I slow down to walking pace. Getting on, getting balanced, moving forward and finally stopping, spinning in place and moving in reverse took me all of about 5 minutes to learn and another 10 to get comfortable with. I would highly recommend these whether you're looking for a good time or a quick way to get to the train in the morning!!!!

I previously bought some hover shoes not by Segway the battery life was way longer however when using my segways the power issue was so dismaying it made no sense first one of the shoes dies faster and I mean absolutely quantifiably faster than the other and I'm talking it charges and has been charged exactly the same amount however when I use them one of them seem to die in a third of the time meaning the battery powered last one third as long as the other shoe does making this product useless

I got these with the idea of travelling to the bus stop or a nearby park. With many years of rollerblading experience behind me balancing on the hover shoes was a pretty natural transition. After 5 minutes, I was able to go forward, backward, and turn in place. After 15 minutes, I was going top speed. I took the shoes to my office and riding them was very much like floating. It's very much what I imagined powered rollerblades would feel like, except I don't have to worry about left/right balance. The wide wheels offer plenty of sideways stability. I rode them from one building to another, taking elevators up and down. No issues there. I've never tried a hoverboard before but the subtle motions that my body sends to the Drift is mostly subconscious. You don't have to think about how to control the Drift - it just happens. It's very much like coasting on rollerblades but you're not interrupted by having to kick and push yourself around. When I took them out on the street, with driveway ramps and sidewalk ramps, I really started to feel the limitations of the Drift as a commuting tool. The Drift works as advertised - they work well when the ground has less than 10 degrees of inclination. But the real world can have sections of small hills where the Drift will struggle and you'll have to carry them. But nevertheless, they're super fun to experience and own. I'll be taking them to new places to float around on. Maybe in the future, someone will make commuter versions of these.

I got these for my girl, who is 5'1" and 120lbs. For learning, she would turn them on while they were down by her feet and set them parallel with the ground. She would sit in a chair and put her feet on them and stand up. At first, I had to hold her hands, but she got the hang of standing on her own. From here, she would slightly lean forward and angle her feet causing them to move. Before I knew it, she was scooting around the kitchen and dining room without issue. I have never seen her so giddy!I don't understand the 1-star review complaining about difficulty (they are motorized skates so know what you're getting), and build quality (it's actually very good.)She says this is the best Christmas gift she has ever gotten, which means score for me! ;)
