Yeah, this is a goodbye. I’m noticing lately that I have been turning to Amazon for vine all of my home-improvement supplies materials products, tools because I’ve noticed that I’ve been getting the same amount of quality but just for a half the price from the big box stores.

There was a time when professionals only bought power tools that were made by companies like DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, Bosch, Hilti, and Rigid because they had built a reputation for making tools that the professional could depend upon. Maybe that was the case in the early days, but in more recent times other lesser known companies produced tools that were just as dependable and sold for far less. Today when we buy DeWalt, Hilti, Bosch and so on, we are paying more for the name than we are for quality. Steel Force power tools, like this detail sander, were designed and manufactured to the same high standards as any of the big brands, but with Steel Force, you’re paying for the tool, not the brand name. This sander sells for less than $30 but performs as well as sanders that costs 3 to 5 times as much. This wasn’t the first Steel Force power tool I have used, and it will not be the last. The only fault that I find with this sander is the same fault I have found with other Steel Force power tools. It didn’t come with a storage case. Quality tools deserve to be treated with respect and that means keeping them in cases, not flimsy cardboard boxes that pass for cases. I think that most pros would pay a few dollars more for the case.

I am a 'recycler'. Yes that translates into 'Trash Picker' in all languages.I just hate to see good things go to the landfill if I can give them a second chance. It looked like someone put a hot pan on this cutting board and it did burn kind of deep but this sander whipped right through it.First I love the 10 foot cord. Lots of reach for the projects I work on.It does have a dust collar but it didn't fit my vacuum. I can easily make an adaptor. It has Velcro type pad connection which is my favorite.Comes with 4 grits to get you started. My main sander is a Green Works battery powered. It is good but it does not have the power this one does. While I do like the cordless, I think this will become the one I go to for most of my projects.A lady I work with does more sanding than I do and she has a Mouse type as well but it is half the size of this one. I like this larger one. That and the power makes these type of jobs go so much faster.I am really happy with it. BTW, this is less than 1/3 the cost of my other sander.

I sometimes get an inch to complete a Pinteresty DIY with an old piece of furniture or fun repurposed creation and it needs a sand down before I can apply my favorite chalk paint or stain. This sander get the job done. It's easy to use and it does get into the corners mostly, but you will need to hand sand tight 90 degree angles or especially elaborate trims. Depending on what you are sanding the papers can wear down fast. It's not cheap feeling, but it is lighter weight so I could finish a round of sanding on a mid sized coffee table without my hands getting sore. The cord is long so I was able to work where I needed to and maneuver around the table without too much cord interference. The dust catcher was useless to me because my vacuum did not fit. I would like to have seen an attachment, but for the price it doesn't surprise me that it was pretty basic. It's a no frills electric sander that beats having to sand entire project by hand.

Love this little sander. So easy to use and not to big for my smallish hands.

Nice hand sander but for the price it should at least have a dirt attachment. I needed it the sander quickly for a project and this tool was the only one I could get in two days.
