Just got it. The only Firewire card I came across that is NEW and uses an old PCI (NOT PCIE) slot rather than looking for one that is 10+ yrs old. Also, it's one of the very few I came across of any age that has a mini-firewire connector. I don't need the internal to run a cable out the front but it's there if you need it as well.Of course, it's not as cheap as going used but it's great to find something new (and returnable if need be) that can go into any old desktop with all needed connector types.In case you're not familiar with the old PCI slots, the card holder will be white, instead of dark green/black and the slot "key" is almost at the end of the card, not near the beginning, like it is with the current PCIE cards. So make sure old-style PCI is what you want. This card won't fit/work in any size PCIE slot.
