Ottima scheda, nessun problema di compatibilità o di trasferimento dati, ha riconosciuto immediatamente una scheda M-Audio e lla fa lavorare benissimo. Peraltro riesce ad alimentarla pur non avendo collegato l'apposito connettore.

Ho installato la scheda PCIe per utilizzarla con una scheda audio Focusrite Saffire Pro 40, attraverso apposito cavo da firewire 400 a firewire 800.- La scheda pcie è stata riconosciuta immediatamente, senza bisogno di installare driver proprietari o altro- bassissima latenza e perfetta compatibilità con la scheda audio (grazie al chipset Texas Instruments XIO2213B, consigliato direttamente da Focusrite)- semplice connettore Molex 4pin per l'alimentazione, presente quasi in qualsiasi alimentatore per computer fisso.La configurazione completa, che confermo essere compatibile al 100%, è la seguente:- - scheda madre MSI Z97 krait edition- Windows 10 64-bit- - - Consigliatissima.

I bought this based on the other reviews as I also have a Focusrite Firewire audio interface that stopped working with the upgrade to Windows 10. It worked perfectly under Windows 7 with an NEC chipset firewire card, but sadly I could not get it to work under Windows 10 whatever combination of drivers I found. Focusrite website suggest that for Windows 10 you should use a card with Texas Instruments XIO2213B chipset, and this card does have that.So, a quick search and with Prime delivery, it was quickly received.As with any PCI/e card, it's easy and quick to fit if you're confident inside a PC.I use a Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56 and this now works correctly with this card. However, there are still some peculiarities that I have to remember. For example, the Focusrite has to be switched on before powering the computer; the drivers don't notice if I turn it on afterwards. Maybe it's just me, but it still feels a little delicate to change settings; but that could be the burn from a week of trying to get Windows 10 to work with the old card.

It's taken some time to find a Firewire card that works on my PC under Windows 10 with my Focusrite Saffire Pro 40. Apparently, the X99 chipset used on the Asus Rampage V Extreme motherboard doesn't get on well with certain Firewire chipsets (such as the Texas Instruments TI XIO2200A), and my old VIA6315 based card stopped working when I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, refusing to work even when I'd tried the legacy Windows 7 driver.This card seems to work very well with its TI XIO2213B Firewire chipset. I needed a Firewire 400 to 800 adapter to connect to the Pro 40, which was easy enough. Easy installation, no audio dropouts and no need to mess about with drivers.

Habe die Firewire-Karte in eine DELL T3500 Workstation mit einem Hexacore XEON W3690 eingebaut. Läuft ohne Treiberinstallation einwandfrei unter Windows Server 2012 R2. Die Firewire-Karte versorgt sogar die externe Soundkarte (Focusrite Saffire PRO 24 DSP) über ein FW800 => FW400 Kabel mit Strom. Somit schaltet sich die externe Soundkarte automatisch beim Start des Rechners mit ein. Auf die Verkabelung mit einem Steckernetzteil konnte daher verzichtet werden. Bin begeistert und würde die Karte jederzeit wieder kaufen! Im Geräte Manager von Windows 2012 R2 (English) findet sich die Karte dann unter "IEEE 1394 host controllers", "Texas Instruments 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller".
