Easy to apply and remove. We have found it quick to remove and a bit slower to apply as it is a wee bit cumbersome and weighty. However, it feels safe and secure and is very visible, along with the sticker on the driver's side window. If either one of us is going out alone we just put the device on the passenger side floor...easy to reach when we get home and are not going out again.

Left hand drive model delivered, for my right hand drive car. Perhaps imported from America, as they seem to be in short supply here. If that had been clear in the advert spec I would not have bought it. It may fit and function ok, but certainly not ideal, have not taken delivery of new vehicle yet. I do feel misled Jeff. Most of us here in Britain have right hand drive cars.

This item has been around for years and is probably the best steering wheel lock available for its effectiveness and deterrent. A little pricey in my opinion but piece of mind.

First of all this seller is great! Answers quickly and delivery was fast! My husband got his truck stolen a month ago and he got the disklok for the new F-150. Medium size fits perfectly. It’s easy to put on and remove. I saw a review that said there was a major flaw in the design where thieves could still turn the steering wheel if the held the Disklok and the wheel at the same time. True. The wheel can still turn if they do that but it can’t make a full 360 because of the top lock. If they are in fact able to steel the car and want to make an abrubt turn, they won’t be able to! Also, keep in mind that this is a deterrent and a good one it is! Since this product is not well known in Canada, chances are that thieves will just walk away and choose another vehicule to steel once they see this. I do recommend buying the steering wheel cover before installing. It will protect it from scratches. I definitely recommend this product. It is sturdy and once you get the hang of it, super quick to put on. It is more expensive than your normal anti-theft bar but a couple hundred dollars is worth every penny if you want a little bit of peace of mind...

As advertised and I believe it is enough of a deterrent to warrant the price. Since there’s plenty written about this product online and demonstrated on YouTube, I’ll just address some of the negative things that have been said…At least one reviewer mentioned that it’s possible to still partially hold the bottom part of the steering wheel (towards the back of the wheel) and still steer the car. I tested it on my car, and that reviewer is correct but only to an extent. You can still steer the car (in the way I mentioned) but you probably couldn’t safely drive more than 5 MPH, your turns would be extremely slow. In other words, you could only do this in an empty parking lot. When you consider the way a thief wants to drive once the car is stolen (fast, rolling fast stops, etc.), I just can’t imagine a thief being able to do this with this device on. If he/she did, it would be slow getaway and either police get them easily or (if you carry a firearm) you could out the tires (just a thought). And they’d have a hard time navigating out of a crowded parking lot or a space parallel parked. Thus, while that reviewer is correct that the wheel can be partially steered, this device still serves its purpose and is enough of a deterrent. Also, the only way you could make the wheel completely cover every aspect of the wheel is if the company made a custom one for each wheel, and that would be impractical for the company and would raise the price a lot. Also, the device is not as heavy as some people say. I’m frail and can’t bench my own weight, and I don’t have an issue taking it off and placing it in the seat behind me. It is big though, and it you’ll have to learn at first when taking it off/on to not crash your windshield, but you’ll adjust. People who keep their cars clear of extra stuff (on floor, seats, etc.) won’t have issues, but if you keep lots of stuff (car seat, etc.), you’ll have to plan ahead where you want to keep this thing. This thing is sturdy, and I tested my three keys multiple times before using—no issues. The instructions tell you what your options are if you lose all keys or you can’t get it off.Lastly, this silver thing really stands out to anyone who passes by the car. Again, its ultimate purpose is deterrence, and it does that I believe. I’d buy it again (though hopefully I’ll never have to).

The Small Disklok fits my 2018 Camaro. This device seems very sturdy and secure and is very easy to install and remove. The locking mechanism seems well thought out and inspires confidence in this device. Comes with 3 keys and a tag with a key code. Don't lose that! While it is on the large side and a bit heavy, this is a good thing. The arm folds inside the unit and it stores behind the front seats. When installed it looks intimidating and hopefully makes a potential thief look elsewhere. I have tried several other devices (You know what they are) and found them wanting. I was in Law Enforcement for over 30 years in a large city and I have recovered numerous stolen cars. Some had 'other' devices that were easily defeated. While there are no guarantees and any device can be defeated, I feel that the Disklok will provide the best security for the money and type of device. You get what you pay for!

I have owned the Disklok for a year now and I am very happy with it! Prior to owning this lock, my previous vehicle was stolen...so I was in search of a wheel lock that would offer me some peace of mind. All the usual wheel locks you see at your local auto parts store weren't going to cut it for me. I needed something more bold, unique, and secure. The DIsklok was exactly what I was looking for.I can't say enough positive things about this product. Sure it's more expensive than many other locks, but you get what you pay for. It is easy to use and the application takes all of 10 seconds. The only recommendation I would make is purchasing a wheel cover, as this lock is a bit heavy and can leave grooves on the wheel.I sleep well at night knowing that this lock will deter thieves and put up a good fight if anyone decides to try and take it on.

I started looking for an anti-car-theft device after learning that master sets of car keys are now available on the internet. My neighbor nearly had her 15-year-old Honda stolen out of her driveway with one of these master keys (in her instance, the cheap key broke off in the ignition while the thief was trying to start it).I looked into kill switches, "club" style deterrents and other options, and watched a few hours of YouTube videos on the subject. Many of these are easy for thieves to overcome, and in fact most only slow them down for a few seconds. I decided on the Disklok because although it too can be removed, it would take at least five minutes and extreme amounts of noise to get it off. That's enough for me. I no longer worry about my car being stolen out of my driveway at night.ONE YEAR LATER...I have now had the device for one year and want to provide this update.1) I continue to appreciate the streamlined and understated design.2) You will have to think about what you'll do if you park your car far from home (maybe in another city) and lose the key. It's probably best to go ahead and order several more spare keys for the manufacturer so you can have TWO with you while traveling and a spare or two in a safe place at home.3) For a more limited level of protection, you can put this on your steering wheel but not lock it. You can rotate the Disklok on the wheel so the lock is at the bottom, and anyone looking in the car window will not be able to tell whether or not it's locked.4) It is heavy enough to be awkward to put on and take off. I usually toss it over into the passenger seat while I'm driving. If you have to put it in the back seat every time, it's going to be more of a hassle to deal with.
