What arrived was much thinner than artificial sinew, and much less waxed. Basically regular waxed braided thread. See other negative reviews for photos.

It is thinner than the flat sinew that I usually use, but I also usually split the flat in half, so this sinew is actually stronger than the half strand that I usually split the flat into. Will be interesting to see how it performs, and I hope I can still break it by hand, when I'm finished pulling by bindings tight~

The advertisement said that it was artificial sinue and that the fibers could be split into finer threads. Wrong, what they sent was a woven flat braid thread,. Sinue is composed of flat parallel strands with little or no twist. What they shipped was a strong waxed thread that could probably be used for whipping twine, or sewing sail repairs, but lacks the special qualities of sinue.

Tie dyers, this sinew is amazing for tying off fabric. The waxiness means you can pull it really tight getting definition for your designs. Great for other crafts too!

I make tie dyes using this artificial sinew. I previously used a brown sinew and it left yellow stains on some shirts. This white artificial sinew held up well and kept the liquid dye from seeping into the next section as desired. I've had other sinew that fell apart during the batching process, but this one held up well. I've only had the opportunity to use on 2 sets of t-shirts, so I'm still early in the roll. Should anything change, I'll update my review, but so far I am pleased with my purchase.
