The quoted size (12 x 16) includes the webbing and unusable area due to the sealant. The actual size of map that can be fit is a little under 10.5 x 14.5 inch. It's annoying that I can't get my Fisher maps (22 .5 x 28.5 inch) in on a single fold.

Worked really well on a 12 day Philmont trip. Enabled a crew member to wear the map on the back of a backpack, in all weather conditions. An essential item for a Philmont crew

Only the dimensions of the exterior is listed in the description/product info. I have included a picture of the sizes with their interior sizing. I love the quality of it already but will be returning and sizing up. Hope this helps others!

Nice and durable - heavy duty. Getting ziplock to close is a pain though - lick or spit helps.

Very supple. Nice and clear. Purchased to use on my sailboat this summer. Big enough to use iPad with as well. I ordered a large and it’s just perfect. Go with a large size. D rings seem to be sturdy as well. Really tight seal as well

Important product for my kayak charts but I find it really hard to seal. In a way that's probably good because I know it's water-tight once I finally do get it closed. But it's so difficult, I usually give up before it's fully closed.

Map case is a slightly heavy for a thru hiker but has an excellent water proof seal and a feels like it could take a beating and hold up well.

I don’t expect this to last long. Sticky plastic that is thin. Would return but I shredded the box opening it. Stuck with it.Way over priced. Go to the store and buy a legit map pouch.

Very well constructed. Used it as a cover for maps & directions on a recent bike trip. Sealed very well & never had an issue with papers getting wet.

For this price, I expected a material that would be more robust. I honestly fear this will get damaged (hence unusable) after the first use in normal conditions. The plastic pouch is hardly thicker than a ziploc bag. Disappointing.
