This disc doesn't work for my turntable because it is calibrated for 50Hz AC electrical systems. Here in the USA everything operates at 60Hz. There is no way to adjust turntable speed to get the strobe lines stationary. I want to blame myself for not looking more closely, but the product description provides zero guidance.

This is well made, thick and sturdy, and the text seems like it won't rub off easily. I like that it serves multiple purposes, both for speed testing (33/45) and a protractor for measuring for your needle.However, one moderate issue I had was that the hole is way too tight for both of my turntables. One table is a newer model from a major brand, and the other is a vintage 70s table from a very popular reputable brand. Unlike a record where one can take a pencil or knife to easily make the hole larger, that is much more difficult with this due to it's material and thickness.I suppose for measuring the speed, one could leave it on the top of the spindle, which worked well enough for me though it's annoying, but as a protractor, you'd want it to sit all the way down. I guess I'll have to dig out a drill to try to fix this.The hertz/Hz marking on the disc says 50hz, however it worked on both of my turntables in the US. I downloaded a strobelight app from the app store, set it to the desired setting of 3000 RPM, not Hz, and it worked. My newer turntable is electronically speed controlled so I know it's right.

This is almost the size of the record label, so it's a record weight, but has no significant weight to it. For strobes you need an incadescent light and it's better done with the full size strobe discs.
