I know virtually nothing about scuba, but have some family members who are very into it. I was looking for stocking stuffers/smaller gifts for Christmas and these were an affordable option because a lot of the equipment is quite pricey. I didn't know if they needed these even, but they were quite excited and said they wish they had gotten some sooner (lost underwater camera). Unsure of their long term durability, but my family members were happy with the gift and for this price, if they only last a few trips, they didn't break the bank.

I bought these items for fixing camera and lamp during scuba diving in a couple of weeks. So, although I wasn't able to do some real underwater testing, the lanyards material and quality looks good enough to do what it was meant for.

The product works as designed, but I removed 2 stars (probably should remove all stars) because the stainless steel of the clip started rusting almost immediately. I noticed rust on the clip after 2 days of use on the liveaboard we were diving off of.

At a certain point, are we going to set up a series of concentric metal rings around our legs to hold all the doodads we need underwater? If so, then get a set of these lanyards because this stuff is INVALUABLE.I use them for lights, because I want to keep my lights on a short leash until I am settled at depth, and then i want to be able to do my full reach. The steel cable means that your stuff won't just snap off. And also, if you are nabbed by some unspeakable ocean depths creature come to the surface, then all they gotta do is grab your flashlight. Saves them the effort of grabbing you.Terrific accessory! Many flippers up!

I'm in small boats a lot and though I do freediving and not scuba, this can help me keep gear held down in the boat's wet environment. The lanyard is sturdy and looks the part for holding 60lbs. The hooks and buckles allow for it to be extended and released as needed. It doesn't look like it will rust. Good product.

These seem to be made well. They are each about 12.5 inches when the connector is together. When you disconnect it, the wire coil stretches out and from end to end it makes it to about 70 inches. I have used these type lanyards in the past for connecting equipment to my BCD. I plan on using these to connect my camera system to my BCD. In case I lose hold of the camera system, it will still be attached to me. If I need both hands free, I can snap the clip back in place and let the camera dangle off the BCD. They are definitely useful for that, or you can attach a light while night diving, etc. so you can't lose it.

These are very durable lanyards that have been made from good quality materials. They have solid clasps and when something is secured, its secured. Very useful for attaching things to your BCD. I have used them multiple times in salt water so far and yet to find any rust. Hopefully that remains the case as time permits.

I use this at times to secure my GoPro mount while diving. I have used in on 9 dives so far and it works fine. No issues with clipping it on or the connections.
