Lasted about 10 dives before the the webbing on the clip failed. Lucky I noticed before my next dive and was able re-secure it before I lost it.

Really wanted one of these. But, it’s oriented the wrong way. It clips from the top, not the side, like it should. This makes the bag hang too far and floppy, from your bcd. In fact, I’m short, (5’3”) so it hangs half way down my leg. It’s gonna hit the coral, for sure. I bought 4, for our family. They all went back.

This pouch is made very well. I put my emergency strobe in it. It has a mesh bottom that easily drains water as well as remove sand when you want your equipment clean. You can basically put whatever you want inside this pouch for diving or scuba. Technically it doesn't have to be a spear gun reel. You can easily mount it on your float if you're a free diver. Basically, this pouch is pretty versatile if you have gear that you need things underwaters such as an extra dive knife or extra rope or even a strobe for those just in case moments. Once you clip it on, you can rest assured that you have everything you need for safety.

Versatile accessory pocket for water sports. I’ll be using it for scuba diving but snorkelers, kayakers, and others will also find it useful. The bottom is constructed of robust plastic-coated mesh so the pouch is able to drain immediately. The large Velcro flap closure remains securely closed although I prefer a Fastex-type buckle backup in addition to the Velcro to forestall inadvertent opening. The attachment swivel clip is a Fastex-type plastic: very robust. It can never rust but my personal preference is always for metal clips. This clip can be replaced. However, for this pocket’s purpose, the plastic is probably sufficient even though I eye all plastic gates with a certain degree of suspicion.A D-ring allows easy peeling back of the Velcro closure flap. Additionally, gear can be clipped to it. I ordered the black pocket which features a high-visibility orange lining – nice! Standard weight belts (2”) can be threaded through the rear loop. That loop can also be utilized to attach to a BC.Because the top opening doesn’t feature a drawstring care must be taken so that unsecured contents don’t spill out. The top flap can be snugged down tightly to help prevent this.Rugged fabrics and construction: the pouch is sewn from a heavy abrasion-resistant Cordura-type nylon fabric. Excellent workmanship, with even stitching and no hanging threads. This accessory pocket is perfectly sized for a reel and SMB. Just because my personal preference includes a few features noted above doesn’t mean that this pocket isn’t terrific – I can’t fault the design as others may find it perfect for their purposes and my preferences overkill. Therefore, 5 stars.

I have a similar bag I use for my SMB and Reel. This one is a little smaller, but not by much. It holds my SMB and Reel very well, with room to spare. The inside is safety orange, which gives good contrast when you are looking inside, and perhaps has something other than an SMB and Reel inside. I guess in a last-ditch dire situation, you could also take it off your belt and turn it inside out to use as a marker. I like that this one has a mesh bottom for much easier water drainage. It seems well constructed overall, with no obvious weak spots. There is something you might or might not want to do to this bag when you get it. This all depends on how you might use this bag and your personal preferences. On the back of the bag above the belt loop is a plastic clip, presumably if you wanted to hang this off a piece of equipment or for storage. I personally will cut this off and replace it with a brass or stainless bolt snap for two reasons. Number one, it’s safer. A line of some type can always slip in between the clip and entangle you. In typical recreational diving, this is probably not a big deal, but it is something to be aware of. The second thing is that brass and stainless just last longer overall than plastic.Overall, this is an excellent bag for your SMB and Reel or just about anything else you might need to carry while Scuba Diving or clipped to your marker buoy on the surface. The size is actually perfect for my SMB and Reel.

Very durable canvas and thick plastic mesh bottom. Large Velcro patch on front allows bag to expand. Clip on bag attached for hands free picking. Velcro front is strong. Drainage mesh on bottom is great, some bags only have grommet holes. Less drag with mesh bottom. Orange interior is very visible. Great bag has many uses.

My wife knew that I wanted to scuba dive so she got me this bag to show me encouragement and support. I took scuba dive training courses back when I was a kid but have only recently wanted to get back into it. I looked at this bag and it definitely something nice. The velcro is nice and strong. It's a decent size and it seems like the material is pretty well made.
