I chose these because I was only really looking for knee pads without the full band around the back. I wanted knee pads that I could strap on without pulling it up past each foot and up my leg. I wanted air in my knee pits in the summer and fit easily on top of pants in the fall.These do seem big shape wise, but not in a bad way. The insignia isn't too distracting, I think it looks nice and sporty. I like the way it goes on and the secondary Velcro band makes it feel secure.

I ordered these in both M and L, plan to use them for ice skating and mountain biking. I have had hard shell knee pads like this save my knees from serious damage many times while skating. The padding, hard outer shell, and overall quality seem good. Curiously, the pads and shell in both sizes are the exact same, what's different is the length of the straps. They are MUCH longer on the L than on the M. My above-knee measurement is 16 inches, my below-knee measurement is 14 inches. I feel like Goldilocks: the M straps just manage to connect on my bare skin, so they won't be sufficient wearing over a thin layer of clothing, but the L straps are much too long with or without clothing. I like them, though, and will ask a friend who sews whether it's easier to lengthen the short straps or shorten the long straps. I'm puzzled by having four straps, seems excessive. In time I may cut off one pair of straps, as four per knee is more than I need, but will experiment first.

i got these more of a eh something is better than nothing and I though they looked cool however they limit how much you can bend your legs which is uncomfortable, difficult to move your legs when shifting gears. could be that i am wearing them over thick pants but yeah, buy it with expectations of disappointment. If they work for you then glad they did.

Bought these for added protection incase of too much confidence. I gauged my overconfidence accurately…low sided the very night I got these delivered and other than a bruised ego…both my fz07 and myself rode away unharmed.Seriously…these saved my left knee from the sweet embrace of asphalt and a trip to the ER.Worth the money.

Comfortable fit I use right on leg under pants but can be worse outside. Looks like good protection hopefully I’ll never get to test.

You can wear these with shorts because they have a soft strap under the main strap. I'm happy.

I bought these for my son to dirt bike. last weekend he wiped out on rocks and landed on his knee. his pants ripped open but his knee did not get hurt. the pads absorbed the crash and are still in good shape and usable. i recommend this product
