Perfect for flat sanding with interchangeable sandpaper super simple concept so less parts to break I don’t see why someone couldn’t have this sanding block for a lifetime.

The only thing I would change is how you screw the 2 b pieces together. If you have large hands would be difficult.

Tghe handle is well made and should last a long time. The sandpaper works great for wet sanding.

Like everyone, I dislike sanding, but it is a necessary evil for anyone preparing a surface for paint or stain. I always like a good sanding block and know that a good one can save from hand fatigue and promote better results. That being said, there are things I like and things I dislike about this sanding block. The design of this block is such that the user's fingertips are in direct contact with the sandpaper (see photo) and that it does not take long to sand away some epidermis, (so USE GLOVES). I was also surprised to find that the area where one must grip the block is very smooth where, ideally, it would be textured to improve grip. Considering that this is molded plastic, that would have been very simple to do. The third negative is the wingnut and screw that holds the whole thing together is a bit lightweight, making me wonder how long it will last. BUT DON'T GO YET! There are things I like about it. Each of the two sides are a different profile. One is angled and the other is rounded. The smooth body is easily fixed by creating my own texture and if I wear gloves, I can avoid losing my fingerprints when sanding. Lastly, one cannot beat the low price, so even with it's flaws, it is worth considering.
