For what you pay to purchase the best quality tape, you will save money every time you use it by not wasting the cheaper stuff when it won't stick or gets stuck together when you are trying to lay down a smooth seam and the lesser quality tape just doesn't perform up to the standards that you know the Scotch brand will perform.

PROS:> adhesive side sticks to almost all surfaces well> thin enough that there's enough length in the roll - thick enough that it doesn't break easily> appears to hold stickiness and form despite higher temperature and humidityCONS> like all film tapes, splits too easily when pulled from the corner, requiring you to pull several inches to get the full width of the tape again> a little pricier than generic no name tapes - but premium is reasonable for the consistent quality from 3M> like all film tapes, tape edge "disappears" into the rest of the roll

***added stars due to their reply and this did ship extremely fast too... my issues was that I needed shipping tape, and this is more of a heavy duty storage tape...requiring a firm press with my hands to bond to the boxes.. once it was sealed and they sat in the truck for a few days (in summer time heat), it did bond and do its job. on to my original review, in which I presumed was shipping tape...my mistake, but their customer service is outstanding and for that, I came back to review my own review and found I was a bit too harsh... :::original belöwthis tape didn't stick well.. it is thick and strong, but I had to use a lot more of it than the cheap stuff we use at work. also the rolls don't last long (b/c the tape thickness) and imo I should've got the ultra thin tape that would've lasted a lot longer and been able to tape up more boxes. I feel this tape is good though, b/c it's so thick, but it just didn't stick as good as the cheap stuff... the only good side is when I accidentally taped my arm to a box... I was able to just peel it off without it hurting at all, the cheap stuff would've hurt. it's a cross between painters (masking) tape and clear shipping tape, but it's much much thicker.if you need to pack a lot of boxes, get the thinest tape you can find...or buy 3-5 times more than you think you may need (or else (like me), you'll be running out to a store to get more ).

If I read the reviews on this tape before ordering it, I would have never bought it. I wonder if the right tape is being sent to everyone. Mine is long lasting moving and storage, and I don't believe it said anything on the front label about meeting postal requirements, as it does on the photo here. That concerned me, but I had no concern after using it on a few boxes I was mailing this week. The tape sticks very well, and you can't pull it up and re-stick it. There's also a temperature range on this particular Scotch tape shown on this page, and it's a great range for mailing. Also, I got 4 rolls for a much cheaper price than what was being charged for mailing tape. (Amazon was the seller.) But prices seem to change all the time on these different tapes. These rolls do fit the big red plastic Scotch tape holders, too.Update 6/10/17: I needed to reorder this tape, but all the bad reviews made me hesitant. Was there a quality control issue? I went ahead and ordered some more, since none of the other tapes seemed as good and as well priced. Moreover, they had bad reviews, too. Well, what I got this week is as good as what I got the first time I ordered it. I'm using it for mailing and it sticks well to boxes and labels.
