The plastics brackets this dash kit use to secure the radio into place are very week and flimsy. So I ended up using the factory metal brackets to secure the radio. However, once the radio is secured, the rectangular frame use to dress up the space between the radio and the dash kit do not align. The frame is just dangling because it can not be pushed all the way back to be secured. Looks ok but overall I am not impressed with fit and finish for my 2006 Tacoma.

I would give it a 5 start rating by the plastics head unit brackets left little to be desired as the radio moved. I had to revert back to using the factory metal brackets which set my SJoybring Head unit a little farther back into the Dash kit than I would like but I'm designing a TPU bezel to go around the Head unit to fill the gap as the one that comes with it doesn't fit good. Being fair to this company the SJoybring Head unit I have is a double din but short about have the size of the orginal head unit, so there may be some issue with that. But with that said SCOSCHE TA2053B should have come up with a more robust bracket system.

Works well and matches the console color close enough. The plastic radio mounts are a bit cheesy and you have to support the radio while torqueing down the support bolts to the radio or the radio will be off-center. Recommended, nonetheless. DOES NOT COME WITH CLIPS. You need to reuse your old ones or order new ones.

I used this with a new double DIN head unit to bring my '09 Tacoma into the 2020s. I was not sure about the matte black finish, and was prepared to paint it, but after a trial installation, I think that the matte black is an improvement over the stock aluminum finish for the radio bezel.It fits fine, but I did not use the plastic radio mounting brackets in my install. Instead, I re-used the metal brackets that came with the stock radio.I would definitely buy this again!

This matches the Tacoma dash perfectly, and the smooth face plate looks fine, especially because this unit has the same notches at the top like the stock stereo cover. In photos, the color looks off, but it is a perfect match.I ALMOST bought the Metra dash kit but putting them side by side in photos showed me the Scosche was a far better match, and I don't regret that decision in the slightest. In photos with the Metra dash kit, it just looks cheap compared to this one. Also, reuse the stock metal brackets when reinstalling your new stereo. The plastic ones that come in either kit are too flimsy.

Final fit and finish is good! Felt loose at first, but realized the clips on the tabs transfer from the old unit to this one and it hold much better.

I have purchased this product twice for two different radios for my 2010 Toyota Tacoma. I love it, great product, and fast shipping. I bought it and within two days it got to me and genuinely it’s a bang for your buck. I expect like cheap feel to the product but it actually feels very durable and fits in the slot perfectly I have no complaints towards the product at all. Although, I feel that it should come with two new bolts for the radio brackets that hold it in place. Other than that it’s a great product I highly recommend.

I previously had the metra kit. It fit very poorly and would wiggle loose over time and temperature changes. The brackets were also flimsy and the stereo would bounce around.This version is much better. The brackets interlock with the puter trim piece for a nice flush mount and secure mounting.Ive seen people comment on reusing the stock metal radio brackets but they absolutely did not fit at all for me.

The item is not 100% replica from the 2007 Tacoma replacement. With that said, this is a very good product. The color matches the rest of the dash very well and the overall quality and fitment is exact. Installed a double din 7" screen touch screen radio with no issues. Had to drill holes to align the radio mounting screws, this was very easy and only took an extra 2 mins of installation time. Will not take away a star for this as it might of been a problem due to the radio being a cheap Chinese brand . Would definitely recommend this product.
