Bought one 5 years ago, wired a cigarette lighter type plug into it, I switch it around all winter keeping all my equipment batteries topped off, works great,about to buy another so I don't have to switch it around so much

It appears to be doing what it was meant to do.The cords are extremely short and it is impossible to follow the installation directions.

I have 3 of these on board maintainers because they are compact enough to mount almost anywhere in your engine compartment. Work great on different types of batteries. Definitely recommended for any vehicle being stored for periods of time.

Bought this and promptly lashed it onto a battery I'd purchased for my sweetie's motorcycle, which I've yet to install. In the meantime, I'm confident that the Schumacher will keep it in good trim until my tuit gets round.Once that project is up to speed, the charger will live permanently in the trunk of my MGB, wired straight onto the battery with a tail hanging out to keep the battery fresh through the winter.I'll need to change the charging ends for that, but it's worth the small effort.Good gear. Once it's plugged up and connected, you just don't worry about the battery.It's my second Schumie -- first one went away with an old Jeep that I sold. Kinda kicking myself over that, since the price has definitely gone up.Buy one, then be smarter than me and keep it around.

Highly recommended!ive been using this item for almost 2years.pretty impressive last winter(canada -40)and it works fine and awesome.everytime i plug in my block heater i plug this too to make sure battery and engine are both good specially the first start in the morning with minus temperature.

Easy to install , works great ! I have 2 of these under the hood for each vehicle especially my rv truck which sits around a lot , keeps battery right at top . We live in northern Canada gets quite cold , you need that battery up at top when -30f , and it starts great !!Good for people who go short distances a lot , then your battery never really gets charged properly , this keeps it prime all the time !Could use a little longer plug-in cord though !!
