Ive been buying this exact roll of paper a few times a year for the past 5 years. over the last few years the price has steadily increased to now almost double what it was in 2020. Unfortunately while the cost was rising, the quality was diminishing. What used to be a reasonable weight paper for the money, is now nearly as thin as tissue paper.

This paper is somewhere between newsprint and toilet paper. The roll was smashed out of round, so it doesn't cut squarely in the roll holder, most likely from careless packaging. The paper itself is ruffled either from poor production or dampness in storage. The finish of the paper surface is rough and poor. This stuff would disintegrate if it were used for butcher paper. On top of it all, it's way more expensive than the higher quality, heavier paper we are used to using.This paper measures out at exactly .0035 inches thickness. 40# paper should be more thanTWICE that at .0073 inches thick.If you're the type of person who needs a roll of toilet paper 36 inches wide, this might come in handy. Otherwise, this stuff is pretty much useless.

Good or bad for your use, this paper is very thin. I doubt this is more than 20#. It is certainly not "butcher" thickness. Still, it is good for kids' kraft. I bought it as a tester for painting acrylic on paper. It did not work well for that purpose nor was it intended to. However, this works great as a paper paint palette if you fold it.

It worked fantastic for our purposes; we used it as table covers at a wedding reception, and we put big bowls of markers and crayons and colored pencils out. People doodled, drew pictures, and wrote messages of encouragement and support for the newly-married couple. Our photographer caught all the best stuff on camera, and we rolled up the covers at the end of the celebration and tossed it!Plenty heavy-enough for this purpose.

Received quickly and it served it's purpose. I used it for lining puppies play pen and it was a little thin for that but nothing wrong with it. Good buy.
