I should have looked at the reviews warning me of this issue. Don't buy if you want to use #11 blades; they won't fit!!!

This long #7 scalpel handle keeps my sterile tek on point and makes agar work a breeze. It's so much easier to stay behind my plates and I have not had any contamination issues by staying a safe distance from my work. I highly recommend it.

the tappered handle helps with control of the blade, much better than the ones that come with the blades. nice long handel.
