This handle is ok, it definitely does the job. The material just seems a little cheap. If I’m being honest I wish I would have gotten the more expensive Swann & Morton handle. But for the price it will do!

A fantastic scalpel handle that will hold several different styles and sizes of blade. The handle is very well made and has good weight which helps with accuracy and clean cuts. I use this for my mycology work with agar plates. Great value, versatile, and easy to use and change blades.

Excellent quality handle here - it's got a really nice weight in the hand and a very smooth finish job free of any bits which might snag a glove. It fits my generic #10 blades perfectly, with the a sturdy and strong mating where the blade meets the handle. It certainly doesn't budge under pressure.

Compared to my swann Morton it’s slightly longer, wider and lighter in weight. The material it’s made out of doesn’t feel as smooth but it’s not bad at all. It works and feels almost the same my only issue is when I insert the blade. The blade doesn’t slide in as smooth and sometimes they’ll get a little stuck before it actually clicks in

Being very much into crafting, especially those crafts that deal with vinyl adhesive material, having a scalpel for precision and small cutting of details, etc. is pretty essential. I've used all kinds of scalpels from the plastic handles to the medical grade kind, and I have always managed to either lose them or somehow end up accidentally tossing them in the garbage. I got this to add to my collection as a backup handle, just incase I lose the one I'm currently using.✅ MATERIAL: the metal that this handle is made out of is, is rust and tarnish resistant and that's important considering that i tend to leave my scalpel everywhere (on accident). the metal has a very nice weight to it, so it's not too heavy, nor too light in your hand. you can still have plenty of control, even if you have gloves on, too.❌ BARELY MAGNETIC: on a personal preference though, i tend to keep my tools organized with a bar magnet that i have set in a certain spot, where i will always return the tools and know where i can find them if im looking for them. all my other scalpels are stuck to the magnet in order and have no issues staying place (on a vertical surface). however, im not sure if it's the weight of this scalpel, or maybe just the metal composition of it, but out of all my scalpels, this one refuses to stay stuck to the magnets. there is slight attraction that i can feel, but it's far from being strong enough to make the scalpel stay in place. just a personal preference, so not really something that effects the handles performance, though.✅ DETAILS: i really appreciate the details on the handle like the ruler etched on one side of the scalpel handle and also the rivets for the grip. the grips are deep enough and far enough apart to still be able to feel them through wearing gloves and the ruler is convenient if you're needing just a quick measurement. this is my only handle that has those specific details and it's nice.◼ OVER RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ FIVE STARS ————————————————♡》》》 IN SUMMARY: there is really nothing to complain about and no cons to mention with this handle. aside from the metal composition not containing enough to be able to adhere to a magnet, which may or may not be a good thing, depending on personal preference, but the blade very easily slides onto it and holds very secure to handle. it has a nice solid weight, along with details like rivets for grip and a small ruler for quick measurements when in use. overall, this is a great addition to my collection, and will definitely get a lot of use. ♡
